When this happens your fans is getting the incorrect information on how to run, on some occasions both the fan and control to the fridge had to be replaced at the same time. Disconnect the evaporator fan motor and run the unit as normal. If the computer allows the compressor to run at least five mins, just replace the fan motor, if not replace both.
Control board is under the unit Part# 241511102 (only if needed)
Parts number for fan motor P#241509402 both of these parts should be available through your local part house or REPAIR CLINIC, to avoid shipping cost and any return issue you may have.
I hope this helps, good luck

SOURCE: Freezer/refrigerator stopped cooling

the first thing i would try is a new compressor relay. once the new relay is installed you will either hear it start, or just a hum and a click. if it dont start then time for a compressor job

part number for relay is 5304468029
goto to buy it and have it quickly

SOURCE: Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator, evaporator fan not running

As insignificant as it may seem, that evap fan motor is as important as petrol in a car. That fan controls the fridge cooling on many fridges and circulation in tha freezer compartment. Replace it with the correct one and you should see a functional fridge/ freezer again. Note, i wouldnt run unit without it for long, as condensig temperatures run high and compressors dont last long.

might be your compressor relay gone bad. if the condenser fan was running and no compressor that could be the case. Also could be a bad compressor. you could try installing a 3in1 start kit. cost about $30. if doesn't start with that then compressor is kaput.

What does the error code SY EF mean on an Electrolux French door refrigerator?

Hello Suzanne, thank you for your post!

I understand that your Electrolux refrigerator is displaying an error code of "SY EF". An "SY EF" code stands for an evaporator fan circuit failure. This could also be a miscommunication with your refrigerator and I would advise performing a reset on your refrigerator. You can reset it by disconnecting the power plug from the outlet for roughly ten minutes. If that does not help correct your issue you may need to replace your main control board or a wiring harness. For proper disassembly and repair of your refrigerator I would recommend having a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

What does EI28BS36IS3 blinking lights mean

Are all of the lights flashing or is it flashing a code like Sy EF or Sy CE? If so the ef would indicate the evaporator fan circuit has a problem, and if it is SY CE it would indicate a communication error.

What does a Ef code on a Electrolux fridge mean? We have replaced the control board and the evaporator fan motor.

Hi Valmon Va, I appreciate your post!

I see that your Electrolux refrigerator is displaying the error code "EF" and you have replaced multiple parts. "EF" stands for evaporator fan circuit failure this could be a possible problem with the control board, evaporator fan, or wiring between each component. I would suggest consulting with a professional technician for a diagnosis because they have available tools to review each component and assure proper voltage to each piece. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

E f is displade on the ikon what it meens ?

Good Afternoon Friend, this is Z. Thank you for your post!

If you are receiving an error code EF on your Electrolux refrigerator, it commonly refers to an evaporator fan error. Either the evaporator fan is not spinning fast enough or not at all. It is possible that there is something contacting the fan blade, which this will trigger the error code as well. It appears you have a side by side refrigerator; therefore more than likely water from the icemaker fill tube is running down the back wall and freezing on to the fan shroud causing the noise you are hearing. In this regard, I would suggest contacting an Authorized Service Technician that will be able to assist you in the diagnosis of your appliance. Best! - Chris

What does ef code mean on frigidare refrigerator fsc23f7tdb

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand you are receiving an "EF" code on your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FSC23F7TDB, and are wondering what it means. The "EF" code means evaporator fan. This means that there could be a possible issue with your evaporator fan or it could be a false error code. I suggest resetting your refrigerator, by either unplugging it or shutting the power of at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

1st water dispenser not working now EF code

EF code on a Frigidaire refrigerator means Evaporator Fan problem. The motherboard on the FGHC2345LF can be sensing a problem with your evaporator fan. The fan could be failing so I advise that you keep an eye on the evaporator fan. All cooling will stop if this fan fails. I believe you are having two unrelated issues. The=> 241734302 Water Inlet Valve

is possibly becoming defective and not allowing water to dispense.

Fault code EF is flashing on my Electrolux fridge FSC23R5DSB6. What does this code mean?

EF on the Electrolux refrigerator digital display means "evaporator fan."

The long answer is, it doesn't necessarily mean there is something wrong with your Electrolux refrigerator.

Turn the power off on the digital display and carefully unplug the refrigerator from the power source. Leave the refrigerator unplugged for three to five minutes. Plug the refrigerator back in and give the refrigerator a few minutes then turn the power button back on. Press the default button on the display and see if the EF code goes away.

Electrolux recommends that you do not plug the refrigerator into an outlet that has a reset button. If your refrigerator is plugged into one of these outlets, try plugging it into another outlet and see if the refrigerator resets itself.

Hope this helps.

On the freezer and fridge temp display there are the codes SY and EF. My manual doesnt give any trouble codes.

There is either something wrong with the fan or the computer. But the only thing you can do is go through the owners manual if you can't correct it with that you will have to call for warranty service. If you go any further then that you will void the warranty.

The short answer is that EF on the Electrolux refrigerator digital display means "evaporator fan." The long answer is, it doesn't necessarily mean there is something wrong with your Electrolux refrigerator.

Hope helps.
