Hello Stacy,
The reason two stoke engines run oil in the gas is for lubrication. By not mixing oil in the gas and running the unit may have scored the cylinder causing low compression. It may be time for a new blower. If in doubt, purchase a compression tester from a local auto parts store. They simply screw in the same threads that the spark plug does. Once threaded in, pull starter rope several times and observe reading. You should have at least 60 psi cold. If your reading is significantly lower, you will need a new cylinder and piston and wont be worth doing. Another method is to remove the muffler and look inside cylinder with a flashlight and look for scratches on cylinder wall. Hope this helped.

My pull string wont move on my ryobi x430

Mine seized up and the string wouldn't pull because my girlfriend used it a few times without making sure that the oil was full. I filled the oil well with Marvel Mystery Oil and was able to slowly get the string to move. Eventually the motor became lubricated enough to pull the string with regularity and now the weedeater works perfectly.

My weed eater (toro), won't let me pull the cord at all. This weed eater doesn't take oil I don't think.

All internal combustion engines use oil of some description. I take it this is a 2 cycle engine and you have not added oil to the gas. If this is the case the engine is locked up, and must be replaced. Sorry.

My echo backpack leaf blower pull start seems stuck it wont crank

Without getting to involved with it, did you always mix the correct fuel/oil ratio? or has someone else possibly put straight gas in it without oil? Another possibility is that the recoil could be broke. I would try to determine if the piston is seized in the cylinder. First remove the spark plug and try to pull the starter rope while listening closely for any strange noises from the engine. If it pulls fine then, replace the spark plug and try to start it again. If that doesn't work then I would remove the back cover and remove the muffler so you can look at the cylinder. You will need a phillips screwdriver and a set of metric allen wrenches. Hope that helps.

The pull string will not retrack, only ran it once, it stalled and tried to go through steps and pul string won't come out.

find the little oil hole on top of the starter bracket. Squirt some "TriFlone" oil in there and tap the center of the starter with a big screwdriver handle. It should pop right back in -watch out for the rope handle-
If it doesn't- leave it parked in the sun- and by morning the temp change will probably release it. (this called "Spring Bound". in case you want to talk to a mechanic about it.

The worse case is the spring broke. That requires the removal of the starter and fitting a new "rattlesnake" back in there. You will understand that term if you try to do it yourself. But everybody started down the mechanic trail somehow.

Where is the blower motor located on a 1998 pontiac grand prix se?

under the dash below the glove box
if the blower motor is inop then
1st check for power on the purple wire at the blower motor
if it has power then you need a blower motor
if it does not have power then replace the resister
located beside the blower motor5-7 wire connector
TRICK TO REMOVING THE RESISTER
you will see 2 goldish colored bolts they are 5.5mm remove them
now the TRICK
there is a 3rd bolt you can't see pull down then pull towards you
this will BREAK THE RESISTER OR SLIDE OFF THE BOLT
then when the resister is out LOOSEN THAT BOLT OFF
the resister is slotted slide the NEW RESISTER in the bolt you just loosened then tighten the other 2 leave the hiden bolt loose
hope this helps
