The obvious answer is to avoid drinking water from the sprayer. The sprayer is intended for rinsing, not drinking

SOURCE: We are getting a metallic taste and smell

The metalic taste is coming from the the new faucet

I would call American Standard and ask them if they have any complaints for this particular model

I would run hot water through the faucet for 5 minute intervals

If it persists I would take it back and demand a refund or cal AS and demand a refund or replacement model

I am sure the local news would like to report something like this

Water from house pump tastes of chemicals. It is coming from the pump.

It can be replaced with a metal one if you can locate a metal one that is the same.

What brand/model of pump do you have? You may have a well pump or a pool type pump?

Tuscany kitchen faucet

The hose is always filled with water when not in use. The longer that water remains stagnant in that line, the more it will absorb that smell. Try running the water for 10-15 seconds before filling your glass. If that doesn't solve the problem, purchase a new hose.

Metalic taste in cold water and ice cubes from refrigerator

I had a similar problem and I was able to get rid of it by replacing the copper lines that go to the refrigerator with plastic ones. It didn't make any sense to me since the pipes are all copper, but the taste is gone and hasn't come back.

Coffee tastes like metal

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE COFFEE. This has to do with water filter system and most importantly descaling of machine, as over time the metals in side machine and tubing get a mold type build up. Its a chemical reaction from the water and tubing and the coffee and metals. To 100% solve this, descale the machine with water and vinegar mixed. Do this a couple of times and use bottled water to fill water tank if you do not have a good water filter tap system. I have been the espresso business for over 16 years with 4 locations, and it has nothing to do with the coffee. If it was the coffee or poor coffee it would tasted burned or bitter, but NOT tasting like metal.

Please rate my solution as you see helpful, Thanks Mike Espresso Expert
