Canon DC20 DVD Zoom Problem

When I am trying to take a picture by zooming the clarity goes for a toss. It started happening a week back only..before that the zoom was working fine. Any suggestion, what went wrong? What I can try or get changed?

Need a manual for a Vivitar Vivicam 8600s

Generally speaking, zooming reduces clarity. This is already a low megapixel camera at 8.1 MP, with a 6X optical zoom. This means that, for anything up to 6 times the resolution, it'll really zoom in by adjusting lenses.

Everything after that (8.5X) will be digital, which will result in noisy (pixelated) pictures.

However, make sure to take a few zoomed pictures and view them on a PC or Mac with an actual monitor. It's possible that the zoomed pictures only look bad on the tiny screen of the camera itself.

Focus out problem in canon 50d while using 24-70mm lens?

If by a "normal" lens, you mean a 35mm or 50mm fixed focal length - often called "prime" lens, that is to be expected. The additional and internal rotating optical elements all contribute to loss of clarity, color loss, and increased chromatic aberration that starts to become noticeable when compared to use of a prime lens. It's a trade off; less number of lenses to carry and lower cost when using wide angle zoom lenses as opposed to a prime lens for even just a few of the focal lengths offered by the wide angle zoom types.

You can minimize the unwanted effects by staying away from both the extreme wide angle and zoom focal lengths as well as the widest aperture settings. If you can stay 2 or 3 stops smaller from wide open, you can limit these destractions from your pictures. This is recommended advice for nearly every lens: Keep away from the extremes.

Good luck!

Turn on auto focus and when you are taking a shot let Auto-Focus adjust the blurry image in the viewfinder beforeyou take a shot. If you do not know how to do it please let me know and I will give you detailed instructions.

Can't zoom when taking picture with A767

While in camera mode you can change the settings so as to shoot in a lower resolution mode where you'll be allowed to zoom in on the image. But you'll lose clarity as you have it in lower resolution and also have zoomed in.

Daewoo Zoom

Try the aspect ratio. Some aspect ratios have an auto-zoom function where it automatically goes in about 50%, cutting out around 1/4 of the edges (or, if you're watching 4:3, maybe even up to 1/3...although I'm not sure of that).
