Question about Panasonic 46 TCP46S30 Plasma TV

Open Question

Hello, My TCP46S30 has two issues. My problems

Hello, My TCP46S30 has two issues. My problems are: 1. For about four weeks, on channel 4 (only while watching NFL on CBS) the audio of the game broadcasts in Spanish; commercials in English. It fixed itself recently and works fine. 2. Channels 5 and 6 have image problems. Blocks (1" x 3" in size) of the images are missing and then the entire screen freezes. The audio is fine when the blockiness starts but audio will stop once the screen freezes. The screen won't stay frozen for more than 2-3 seconds. We have Comcast. We also have two other TVs in the house. None of the other TVs have these problems ever, even if you watch the same channel that the problem TV is tuned to at the same time. Thanks, Neil

SOURCE: one channel comes in Spanish all others in English

interesting! Sure you are not connected to a dedicated Espanol station? I have tried to emulate your problem but cannot succeed I can only recommend you try to tune that channel manually to another number and see if it still does it.

Can my eclipse 4 channel amp 36401 be bridged on bchannel. and what would the ems be?

You can bridge the speaker outputs; positive from channel two(2) , and negative from channel one (1) : Positive from channel four (4) and negative from channel three (3).

I believe this will provide 140 watts from each bridged channel.

CP185 has intermittent static, when pressing button to talk screen displays "channel busy" and battery will not keep a charge.

Could be one of several issues. A few which come to mind are:

1) You have a bad or poorly charged battery. Static is a sign of a bad or poorly charged battery. Try swapping a battery from another radio, with a known good battery and see if the problem is solve. If this resolves the issue check your battery and charger. Tip: Clean all charge contacts with a pencil eraser to ensure good charging. Also, check your 3- or 4-digit date code on the battery. If more than 2 years old, replace the battery. (4-digit date code example 1303 would be 2013 the 3rd week; on 3-digit date codes the first number is the year and the next two the week of the year.)

2) You are trying to use the radio in an area where you are experiences high RF on your frequency. This is the "busy"... someone/something is on or near your radio's frequency and interfering with transmission. Try your radio at a different location and see if the problem persists.

3) Another radio in the workgroup is stuck in transmit, causing static, and the channel busy. Turn off other radios, one at a time, and see if the problem still exists.

4) Or if you have an audio device plugged into the radio, try unplugging it and see if the problem stops. FYI: All audio devices must be plugged or unplugged with the radio shut off. If you plug one in with the radio turned on, you can experience some unexpected intermittent issues.

If none of these seem to be the problem, your radio is likely in need of repair.

Best regards.

Hello twelch,
Welcome to FixYa.
My name is John, and I will be assisting you with your issue today.
If it is the old four(4) wire mic, the wiring will be as follows:
Pin #1. Shield (Ground)
Pin #2. White (Audio)
Pin #3. Red (Transmit)
Pin #4. Black (Recieve)
If it is a SIX (6) wire! The Blue would go to Pin #1. with the Shield, and the Yellow
has no connection. I hope this was helpful to you. Your Comments and Testimony's are

I wish to know the correct way to connect a Schneider 800w amp Model:spa-9705. What I have is a lead from my deck(marked sub woofer - 1 x red & 1 x black) but at the back of the amp in question it has 4 x...

Hello i_starlin606,

The Schneider SPA-9705 is a 4-channel bridgeable amp. How you intend to use it and what speaker(s) or subwoofer(s) you are connecting to it will determine the appropriate hookup.

If used to drive 4 sets of normal speakers, you would connect your front channels to one set of inputs (usually 1 and 2) and the rear channels to the other set. You would not use the subwoofer outputs coming from the deck.

If used to drive subwoofer(s), you would need two "Y" adapters with a female input side and 2 male outputs. The cables marked "subwoofer" would be plugged into the female "Y" and the male ends would be plugged into the 4 channel inputs on the amp (paired as 1-2 and 3-4). The front and rear preamp outputs on the deck would not be used.

Speaker/subwoofer connections will depend of the number of individual speakers or subs, whether they have single or dual voice coils, and the impedances of the voice coils.

Hope this helps.

Yes you can use a y to go to all four. Or you could bridge the four speakers wires onto the two outputs for 1 channel

Change of hard disk from 160 gb ide to 250 gb sata

Hello there.

I checked the specifications on your motherboard from here .

As you can see it does indeed support SATA Hard Drives, as per the page:

SATA Four-Channel Serial ATA supports 4 SATA II devices

Each SATA hard drive uses up 1 of the channels, so you can use a total of 4 SATA drives at once.

Hope this helps.

You can try holding down mode and channel 2 at
the same time for 10 secs. This should reboot the recorder.

Kicker amp troubleshooting

Disconnect all speaker wires and signal cables from the amp. If it powers up, the wiring needs to be checked. If it still shuts down, the amp likely has blown output transistors.
