How do i round this number to the nearest ten billion

Hi Sjonmarie:
Wow! That is a large number that you are playing with.
Starting at the decimal point, you go through the hundreds, thousands, and millions, before you get to the billions.
That is nine digits to the left of the decimal point.
The tenth digit to the left of the decimal is the first billion digit.
The next digit to the left is the 10 billion digit.
If you ignore all of the first nine digits, and
add the tenth digit to the rest of the number, and then
ignore the 10th digit of the result,
you will have
the number rounded to the nearest 10 billion.
Ta Da!

This is what my question says. some scientists estimate that there are 100 billion stars in the milky way galaxy. In standared form,100 billion is 100,000,000,000. write 100billion in exponential form.

100 (2 zeroes after the 1)=1x10^2
1000 (3 zeroes after the 1)=1x 0^3
1000 000 (one million) =1x10^6
1 billion =1 000 000 000 =1x10^9
100 billions =100x 1000 000 000=(1x10^2)x(1x10^9)=
Now use the power multiplication rule (a^n)x[a^m)=a^(m+n). Thus
100 billions =1x10^11=10^11.

How to analyse the following sentence from the syntax point of view: 1) Thousands of million of galaxias exist, each one with thousands of million of stars. I am studing linguistics in South America,...

"thousands of millions" is sort of an odd way to say "billions". i do not believe that it is proper grammar, but more like slang. i think that it would be referred to as a "colloquialism".

the word is spelled "galaxies", not "galaxias". this is just referred to as a mis-spelling.

the comma is incorrect punctuation, i believe. it should instead be a hyphen..

the phrase "each one" is a redundancy, the word "each", by itself, would suffice.

the sentence would be much improved if it read as follows: "billions of galaxies exist- each with billions of stars".
