My son attempeted to complete updating the software on his psp from 2.21 to 3.51. When the upgrade was almost complete he received a message "system error please aquire assistance". he tried to take the battery out and replace it now the psp will not turn on.
Could you pleas advice the next step to having this problem rectified - do I need to take the console to a pc outlet / repair shop? thank you

Re: psp upload error
If you still have the receipt, I would suggest contacting Sony support and Returning it for repair. The last one I did was bought in October 2005 and they covered it, and sent me a Refurbished replacemnt within 10 days.

IF PSP is being disturbed or power went off by any means while upgrading system software. It is sure that your PSP is bricked and now you had the only option to get repaired by a technician and it is done with the help of Pandora's Jigkick Battery. If you required any more info please write.
the same thing has happened to me.. I reset my psp completely! erased everything!! and still, the same bs dns error etc.
