Question about Apple iPod nano
My hold button seems to be working fine (it toggles back and forth just fine) but the player has the padlock symbol in the upper left hand corner that indicates its in hold mode. It works fine when I sync it to my PC, and even plays music if I put it in a cradle and control it with a remote, but it wont let me operate it manually (acts just like its in hold mode) Is there any way to fix this short of sending it in? Since its just a 1GB Nano it seems more cost effective to just upgrade, please let me know if theres an easy fix. Thanks!
Heres what i found "Depending on when you bought it, Apple might fix it or you will need to. or you can try opening the nano up with a pocket knife and try to do it yourself. if you try to open it, open from the top left.
Within 1 year: Apple will
Outside that: you will.
Now, if you have AppleCare then you are fine. Dial the phone!
Call apple anyway, just to see if they have any ideas..."
