Question about Intel Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I have Intel Centrino Advanced N6250. My Windows 7 PC shut down in the middle of updates and now my wireless adapter is not connecting. I've disabled and enabled several times and it still gives me the big red X with "no connections are available." When I click on the Troubleshooting option it tells me it couldn't identify the problem. What am I missing? I'd prefer to not uninstall as. I don't have the DVD with me as I'm traveling. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!

SOURCE: Wireless network connection

Try these first:

Make sure that the wep password is correct.

change channels to 1-6-or 11.

check is to make sure you are NOT using "IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network."

You can find at setting under "Wireless Network Connection Properties" and then under "Authentication" tab of your network properties.

This particular authentication method is periodically logging you off the network and re-authenticating.

Check the adapter in device manager to make sure that windows is not shutting the adapter down to save power.

Cordless phones1.gif and wireless ethernet cards use overlapping frequencies. As a test, you can unplug the AC cords from all the cordless phones in the area and see if it helps.

SOURCE: problems with WiFi netgear WNDA3100

the drivers should be installed in windows 7 by default, their so called "smart wizard" has some compatibility issues with windows 7, I get it to load up and it will shut down or glitch out. What I did was uninstall the downloaded driver and use the default windows drivers, flipped the switch off to my built in G wifi adapter and the netgear automatically kicked in and took over as the default wireless adapter.

Fix wifi association problem

(a) Ensure the Wireless Device Switch is On. Just throwing that out there. Your WiFi adapter is noting down some kind of signal strength as well, yes?
(b) Try uninstalling the WiFi Adapter (Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 (802.11abgn 2x2), or, Atheros XSPAN HB116 802.11abgn) in Device Manager, then rebooting and let Windows reinstall the device.
(c) Try updating the drivers from here.
http://support.fujitsupc.com/CS/Portal/support.do?srch=DOWNLOADS There are Windows 8.1 x86 and x64 driver packages there.
(d) If the device is working fine (according to Windows) but is still not receiving or sending, then it may be some antenna problem, and you'll have to contact Fujitsu Support for repair. Make sure you've registered your new tablet with Fujitsu.
Post back with how this goes.

I have a msi PC60G Wireless card but it doesn't seem to want to connect with my new Windows 7. What can I do?

Windows 7 should download the driver by itself, try to connect the pc to internet trough a wired connection and run windows update, then look in the "optional updates" and select the checkbox of the wireless card item. once downloaded windows shold install it alone. I hope you can make it work!

I have a similar problem with my laptop which also has an Intel wireless card. The only way I can get a stable connection to my Linksys router is by disabling the Intel utility and letting Windows manage the wireless connections. Open up the Intel utility and press the Fn10 key to disable the Intel utility or from the menu select Advanced and than select disable Wifi Control. You will find you wireless connections to be stabler and faster when you do this, you should also check to see if there is a driver update on Sony or Intel's site for your wireless card. I have had my laptop for three months and there have been four updates so far. Face it, Intel makes crappy network adapters and should stick to processors.

PC shuts down when accessing wireless network

Check in Device Manager to see if there is a problem with the Wireless Network Adapter. If you see a Yellow! or a RedX, then right-click on the network adapter see what the status of it is. It has a troubleshooting section. The only part of your wireless adapter that could possibly shut down the computer would be the driver.

Hi,

*Assuming that the computer is a windows XP Operated.

Click on start => run => Services = Ok.

On the services window => check the status of the wireless zero Configuration => try switching it 'on' or switch it off and then switch it 'on'. If that does not resolve the issue then it could be hardware failure.
