Fan will not cut off

Janet, the problem most likely is not in the thermostat. It is probably the fan relay on the circuit board in the furnace. Some furnaces have an individual fan control board, some furnaces have all the controls integrated within one control board. If your furnace is 20 years old or older, it could be the fan/limit control because at that time all furnaces did not come with a control board. If it is much older than 20 years, it is much more likely a stuck fan/limit.

How do I wire a whole house humidifier to my furnace?

You could wire the Humidifier to the HUM terminal on the Furnace integrated control board, this would allow the humidifier to start only when the blower motor energizes.

The "mother board" or integrated control module is essentially the brain that controls the sequence of operation in your gas fired furnace. It is located, generally, in the blower compartment. That is the bottom of the two compartments of the in the furnace. It looks like a circuit board with all the wires of the furnace leading to it.

I'm not familiar with the model as there are many but here are some general tips to help you figure it out. We techs. use these same checks. A Printed Circuit Board (PCB) with hard contacts has small relays easily identifiable when seen. They are rectangular, about 1/4 inch high, about 3/4 inch long and about 1/2 inch wide soldered directly to the board. An Integrated Circuit Relay (ICR) looks exactly the same as all the other ICs on the board. The 2 blue wires can be easily traced by following them to the solder traces on the bottom of the board. One will go to the Common trace which is larger in spots than all the others and normally runs around the outside of board to access all the other components and ICs. The common lead of the power source will be soldered to this trace. The other blue line will go to the relay. If it is an ICR it will have a part number on its top, easily visible. NTE Electronics can I.D. its specs. but they are designed to handle the load. Hope this helps.

I replaced my fan control board because blower would not work but now heat is not coming on

Double check your wiring on the new board, you may need to jump your thermostat line to the "R" terminal on the ignition controller. There are two sides on the ignition controller. One is for line voltage (115-120) and the other is for low voltage (24). Be sure of these connections and it should be good to go.

Goodman furnace fan runs all the time

Hello, this can be caused by a bad relay on the integrated control board or a short in the low voltage wiring. Easy way to check is unhook the green wire from the G terminal on the control board, if it stops there is a short in tje wiring, if it does not stop the control board must be replaced due to a bad relay.

Hi i have a rheem super quiet 80 attic unit.. the heat is not working.. the unit will not power up and circuit board is not lit

Hello, if the furnace does not work at all the main thing to check is your line supply voltage. low voltage and fuses. Make sure the circuit breaker is not tripped and verify that you are getting 120 volts to the integrated control board at the L1 nd neutral terminal at the board, if not most likely the breaker is tripped, secondly make sure that the fuse on the unit is good, usually it will be on the integrated control board if it is a newer furnace or on the side of the furnace at the switch box if it is a older furnace, make sure the fuse reads 0 ohms with your meter. Lastly check the transformer, check Resistance on both sides of the transformer and you should get resistance, if not replace transformer, let me know if you have any further questions I will be glad to assist you.

The light is supposed to be on, if there is a fault in the furnace the light will begin to give u a flash pattern... ie; three flashes...or two flashes.. on the furnace exterior or on one of the doors there should be a fault code chart.... read the chart on the unit it will tell you what light is on and when..
