Rinse cycle problem

Whenever rinse is reached the washer will bleep and OE appears on readout. There is never any blockage and drainage is ok.At first we could overcome it by blowing back up the drainpipe or skipping to spin but no joy anymore.Any ideas please.

If the water is still in the machine when it stops then yes there may be a blockage, if you can assure yourself 100% that there is not, then the pump should be faulty electrically, there is also the chance that the timer could be faulty, but check the pump works and there are no blockages or any objects are in any of the pipes, (remove them to check them) if blowing back up the pipe made it work, this confirms a blockage i have over 20 years experience in appliance repairs, double check what you believe you have checked before, it sometimes works, we all miss things sometimes

MY WASHER IS BLEEPING AND GOT A E;18 ON IT AND WONT FINISH ITS CYCLE

where does it get too??

machine take in washing and lock the door
then add water in stages
and usually heat it as they go
once it comes up to temp
it washes
then it rinses
if it gets to rinse past a water in rotate and wash

then spits the dummy
its most often outlet waste pump or something inside the rubber
between the drum and the pump
if its a front loader and you have kids or dogs
check for rubbish like plastic stuff
inside the drum skin {outer}
ive found in the last week five machine
three had doggy do bags inside the skin melted over the heater
E18 is a timer error with drain
so check out all the drainage
bearing in mind what can get trapped in the pump
brazier wires coins screws nails small plastic bags etc etc

depower the machine at the mains
clean any blockage

then when you power back on
press first the power on or start stop
then mains it should give a long beeeeep and reset...

and not try to carry on the failed cycle

Whenever it gets to almost the end of the cycle and usually while it is in rinse, the error message OE comes up and it won't drain the water from the tub or go any further

Had same problem last night with my LG WM1814CW but mine didnt get to the end of the cycle, it would fill and start humming when it was supposed to be draining then the OE would appear. We drained the machine through the front door hose, turned the machine on its side and removed the drain pump. Very easy access and very easy to remove the drain pump. There was a half a bobby pin against the impeller and that stopped the turning. Took the bobby pin out and put it all back together. It works like a charm now. Very nice system that LG has.

1 1/2 year old lg WM2496H showed oe error code while washing a heavy unbalanced load. I removed the wet blanket (sitting in water) and tried drain/spin command with empty washer but washer will not go into...

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

LG themselves have some information on this error code..

When machine get to rinse cycle it stops and the letters FP appear.

FP means "faulty pump" but before buying a pump make sure to check your drain hoses first since any blockage may cause the same readout in display:
Opene the flap on the front lower right side and unscrew the cap. If it doesn't come out easily a bit of force will get it out - look for hair klips and fluff blocking the pump inlet/outlet hoses.
GOOD LUCK!

Error code OE; dishwasher stops with error message 2 min into cycle, drainage seems OK, water doesn't appear to pump into machine - any advice?

Hi,
The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.
else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD
Good Luck!!!

Bleeping dishwasher

Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next, depends, as follows:

  • On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time.

  • On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too.
