There is a button labeled "ZOOM" on your remote control, press it to cycle the ZOOM settings.

SOURCE: Zoom Function and Verizon Fios TV

On the verizon FIOS tv box, turn the FIOS STB on, and turn on the tv, tap the following buttons on the Verizon FIOS STB )in this order) 1-Power, then Select, then Menu. This will bring up the FIOS STB HD options. Arrow down to 4:3 Bypass and set the bypass option to 480P. Hit power 2 times, once to turn off, second time to turn STB back on. This should on standard channels give you the zoom feature back. This worked on my Samsunf 5053 TV model.

SOURCE: LCD tv zoomed in. can't un-zoom it.

Are you connected to a cable box with its own remote control, if so, some systems have a zoom control on the cable box remote. Check to see if it is setup to "Movie" mode or similar.

I have a 19" Sylvania

Hello! This can be frustrating to watch!! To change the format on your DISH remote, all that you need to do is press the * button below the number 7 on the keypad. This will change the format for the TV so that you find the one that suits you best. The best that I have found is Zoom. I hope this help!

Slow moving lines up screen

I noticed the same lines on my 32" Sylvania LCD. After playing with some electrical plugs, I found that having my Sony PS3 plugged in interfered with my cable quality. When I unplugged the PS3, the lines and slight humming (only noticeable from behind TV) went away. I tried making sure the cable line and PS3 power cord weren't touching but to no avail. I guess I'll just leave in unplugged while watching TV.

On your remote there should be a ZOOM button that will strech the screen to full screen it may not be a desirable look but most formats today for HD tv is widescreen format also in your menu system you can change this as well. thanks for using fixya please click the accept button.

I need codes for Directv remote for my sylvania flat screen

Direct TV remote numbers they list for sylvaina are. 10054 or 10030 or 10171. Keep in mind that universal remotes will not necessarily operate every feature of your TV. Try each code, one at a time. Check the volume and channels up and down and the power buttons before assuming the code is wrong. If these do not work I can find the code but I will need the model nember for your TV.
