Question about Canon PIXMA MP780 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I'm guessing that you click on "test printer" on the PC, and the test print will come out. That shows that there is a connection, but it tells us little else. If you still have the original software, I suggest reloading it, as you may have inadvertently deleted the driver - a little bit of software that will send messages from the PC that the printer understands. The driver can also become corrupted or damaged. If you no longer have the software, Canon will have it on their website, I'm sure.
Hope this helps.
