Question about Broan NuTone 100HL Combination Bathroom Heater, Fan, and Light - Dire

1 Answer

Replaced the heating element twice in one year. any idea what the problem is? The original heating element lasted just over one year and the replacement lasted just three months. The motor fan wheel seems to take off slow at first then pick up speed?

The wire connecting to the heating element keeps melting/burning. Ive replaced it twice, each time it melted, how do i fix it?

What size wire? When you replaced the heating coil, what did you use? Was it OEM? What part number? Do you have an ohm meter?

My unit used to send steam out of the top but no longer gets hot. I'm sure the coil should be replaced. This unit was pricey and is used every 7-10 days over the last 14 or so months. My last unit lasted...

Fridge works on gas...but not on AC

Your heater should measure 44 ohms, give or take 10%.

95 Ohms is way off. The RM2310 uses a 92 ohm heating element, perhaps you installed / were sold the wrong heating element?

I have a Patio 1. For the last couple of years,

It sounds like your ceramic elements are cracked and will have to be replaced. This can happen when cold juices drip directly onto the red hot ceramic elements. The cracks can sometimes be hard to see. The latest generation of TEC grills have done away with these ceramic elements.

Have had 4 Neff oven elements in 2 years, why does this keep happening ? B14241 single oven element keeps blowing, grill and light are fine, any ideas please ? is it time for a new oven ?

If you are not fitting genuine
elements, this is probably the reason they are failing so quickly.
You will pay a lot more for the genuine article, but they will last a lot longer.
Also make sure the fan is working o/k, as this can cause premature element failure.
please rate my solution.
Thanks.

The fan oven is not heating up. The fan appears to to be operating and the element for the grill heats up . I had the oven element replaced over a year ago.

If the fan is working o/k, but there is no heat, then it is more than likely the element that has failed again.
The fact that you had it replaced a year ago, does not mean tha it will last a long tiime, it is quite common for them to fail in a relatively short space of time.
Take my advice and fit a new element.
Thankyou.

Brand new dryer heating element burned out.

If air flow is restricted this can cause it. Or if your voltage is high or if you have received an element that has been stretched and is loose this could cause it. You say immediate and how long in loads or time is this? Are you sure the element still has full voltage (220V aprox) to the element?
