if you receive such an email, never click the link in the email. if you did click the link, run a copy of Malwarebytes to disinfect your computer and change the password in Gmail.
Tell your friend that he/she needs to do the same.
You would also need to enter the new password in Outlook, if you use that to send email. Here is a guide how to to that: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2697421
you mean you no longer receive emails coming from that mail adress ? If so, try to add it to your contacts first. If the problem is to receive all emails coming to that email and sending emails with that account, go to your gmail parameters than "transfer pop and imap" activate both protocols than go to "accounts and importation" and follow instructions to add that adress to your gmail account "send mails as" Hope it helps
do you use gmail stright into your web browser or you have added your gmail account to some software like thunderbird or outlook ? In the second case, you have to change the smtp server in your account parameters. look here : http://mail.google.com/support/bin/topic.py?hl=en&topic=12912
