Pick a starting point, if there is a cable that might be in the wrong socket then go one socket and one cable at a time to find the problem. You don't want to start doing a ton of things all at once or you will just get lost and confused. Once you know that the one thing you changed didn't fix the problem switch it back to how it was before and move on.

Hi my Danby DDR4588EE Dehumidifier's buttons aren't working

Hi! I'm assuming that the unit is plugged in and the outlet the unit is plugged into is working (if not, is there a tripped circuit breaker, in your home's circuit breaker panel?). Also, that you have turned ON The Master ON/OFF Switch and the Water Collection Bucket is installed properly and the Float Valve inside the bucket is in the Down position

If you answered NO to any of the above, turn the the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit, before checking those things first. Because, 9 times out of 10, one of thee above is the culprit.

Hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

I just bought a fender passport 150 and it isn't very loud and the channel lights aren't even coming on when I plug in my guitar or my mic. You can hear the guitar and mic but only when the volume...

Turn down the VIP knob and try it. This is on channel 1 for announcement voice overs overriding everything. It has a threshhold setting for adjusting that. Here is the manual for it.

I have the Simmons SD7PK. It sounds as though the speakers to my amp or through our PA system are busted. What could be causing this?

First thing is to verify your sound system is OK by running program material such as a CD at normal levels through it. If it is OK then you need to consider if your drum set is overdriving your sound system. Drums generate high pulses and can easily saturate PA systems. First thing here is to connect headphones to your drum set and listen how the set sounds via headphones. If both these tests pass muster, then your PA system may be too small to handle the drum audio. In that case, get at least a 15 inch powered monitor, preferably bi-amped to run the drums through.

We have a dbx Driverack PA unit with a Crown CDi1000 amp in our church. Recently, we starting having problems with the output to our main speakers dropping out. We found (by accident) that if we unplugged...

Check the speaker wires coming out of your amp. Chances are you have a problem with a speaker wire and this is just a coincidence. I say this because the same thing happened to me during a live show and I about had a heart attack. We lost the front of house for about 15 minutes while I tried to troubleshoot the Driverack, the board, and everything but the speakers and speaker wires. The cables were a recent purchase and were premium grade with light wear so I mistakenly ruled them out. It was intermittant so it took me a while to figure out. Now I understand that that's the weakest link in the chain and from now on I start there and work backward through the chain (that is, if all sound is cutting out).

Do you use banana plugs (two metal pegs sticking out of a plastic rectagle) coming out of the back of your amp? There are little screws inside the holes on the back of the banana plugs. Those can vibrate loose, especially if they're just factory tight. Get a little standard screwdriver and tighten them down. That will probably solve your problem.

Okay, wait a minute -- could be one more thing. You mention that the loud popping can be heard. Do you have any gates turned on? Most compressors have gates. Check your compressors to see if you have your gates turned up too high. A gate set too high would allow the loud pop to go through to the PA but would cut off everything low to mid-volume.

I guess you can see that I don't think it's a problem with the Driverack. I don't work for dbx or anything, I just think these other things are far more likely than a problem with the unit.
