Does the bamboo flooring installation process differ from laminate flooring installations?

Bamboo flooring comes in three styles, solid, engineered, and click lock. The click lock and engineered are virtually designed just like laminate flooring, the only difference is the installation. Engineered has to be either nailed, stapled or glued down (depending on the subfloor, whether it is concrete or wood). The click lock is a floating floor and is installed the exact same as laminate flooring. Whether its on wood, or concrete it doesn't get nailed or glued at all.

How do you remove dried gloss paint from laminate floor

Try using a steam iron, put a damp cloth on top of the paint and then the iron on top and steam the paint, it may soften it enough to get it off with a plastic scraper so you don't mar the floor finish.

Paper **** inside

Probably rolled itself around the rollers. Got to be real careful to not have any exposed inside surface (of the laminating pocket) showing since that coating is heat-activated and sticky.

Unplug it, wait for it to cool, flip it over and remove the screws holding it together.

If the laminating pocket is just physically wrapped around one of the rollers, it will come right out. Re-assemble and go back to work being careful not to put anything through that is the least bit curly.

If the laminating pocket is stuck to one of the rollers, just chuck the thing out and buy another one. The cost of parts and repairs will exceed the cost of a new unit. To remove the adhesive, one would have to disassemble the entire motorized assembly and then heat the "offended" roller to more than 180?F to get the adhesive to soften enough to scrape it off. Then, while it\'s still hot, one has to use a solvent matched to the adhesive to remove all remaining traces (\'cause if there is any left, it will just suck the next laminating sheet right around the roller and you\'re back where you started).

Remember:

- Use only laminating pockets for that brand (different models may have different temperature ratings). If the clerk says their laminating pockets are universal, ask the Clerk to guarantee in writing on his company\'s letterhead that they\'ll be responsible for any damage / repairs / replacement. They won\'t.

- Don\'t put anything that\'s curling through.

- Don\'t put anything through where part of the inside of the laminating pocket is exposed (because as it heats up it will stick to anything and everything it touches)!

I have a xerox laminator and it will not feed

Unplug the machine. Then try to look, using a flashlight, if there are any obstacles that may interfere with the feeding. try to gently tilt the machine and try to remove any obstructions. If you can't see anything, try to force something through the feeding path and see if something is stuck in there.
If this doesn't work, them you might want to take it apart.

Hi, there's a seperate switch for the moter on my laminator. After the device is heated up you need to turn on the switch, so the mechanism starts to pull in the pouch.

The sheet im laminating rolled up inside, cannot get it out

Water-based cleaners will not work with this type of adhesive. Rubbing alcohol or a citrus-based cleaner (eg, Goo-Gone) will be required.
