Travelmate 4230 battery

I have a travelamte 4230, and y restar all, and since my notebook when the battery is 100%, i desconect from de currente and my notebook only maintains 10 minutes working, i dont know if it is a driver or what

My laptop does the same thing - i think it is because you either have a new charger or your laptop is just getting old.

You have to Press and Hold the FN function key at the lower left portion of the keyboard, then hit the key that controls the brightness.

i wouldnt go for the "recovery disc" if you can re-formatt the harddrive and re-install the operating system its way better,the recovery discs only work under certain conditions

My acer travelmate 4230 is losing power very quickly when it is not plugged in...it seems like the battery is not holding a charge very well. is my battery just old? any suggestions?
If the battery is 2 or 3 years old or more chances are it needs to be replaced. When you charge it and it gives you less than 30 minutes it is time to replace it, ebay is a good place to start if you are considering getting a new one.

Still using an external monitor because the screen on the laptop it out of services. Try to found the same screen on the internet an buy it. Remenber a new sceen is one of the most espensive part.

Sounds as though you need to either replace the operating system or more probably... you need a new hard drive. Get one on ebay they are dirt cheap there!
