Microwave has quit heating. everything else is working.

The problem is most likely caused by the magnetron, and there are two other parts that can be a factor, the high voltage capacitor and diode. The above mentioned work together to heat food, if the magnetron is gone you would be further ahead buying a new microwave oven

The keyboard will not respond ,lights up ok.

You have a failed membrane keypad.

If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.

The part number of the membrane keypad is
DE34-00105E and you can order it here for $47.94 plus shipping. They're our favorite supplier.

If you would like to have us do this repair for you, we do that for $39.95 plus part costs nationwide.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number from the tag on the unit) for more information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

The oven started all by its self ???

You have a shorting membrane keypad.

If and when an oven is coming on or doing anything by itself, this is very dangerous and can result in a fire.

So until it is repaired, please leave it unplugged or leave the door open when it's not in use, and of course one should never leave a microwave unattended while cooking.

If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

It may be more economical to replace the entire control box assembly.

Samsung mw1150wa came on all by itself around 1250am and then again around 650 am this morning. It set itself for 5 minutes. Any ideas??

Your membrane keypad is shorting.

If and when an oven is coming on or doing anything by itself, this is very dangerous and can result in a fire.

So until it is repaired, please leave it unplugged or leave the door open when it's not in use, and please do not leave it running unattended.

On the average table top unit, it's usually more economical to replace the oven than to have it repaired.

We regularly repair these control units for customers nationwide by mail in about a week or two with a one-year guarantee.

The cost to replace the keypad and return it would be $97.90 in this case.

If you're interested, please feel free to contact me directly and please include your full model number from the tag in or on the unit and a reminder of your symptoms.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
