Archos AV700e ac adapter won't charge battery/bad connection

I can't get the AC adapter to establish a connection with unit....I think the internal charging part got pushed down in the unit or something. I used to have to push the cord down with pressure to get a connection. I'm looking for some other way to charge the battery. Is there some type of external charger I could get to place the battery in for charging.
