How do we set the outside temp?

since this question is very non specific i.e., no brand name, model or serial numbers, I can only assume that this is the type of unit that monitor the outdoor temp and does not require any settings. If you need more info, please include more details. Thanks.

Just put new batteries in both units but can't get the oudoor temp to show - what have ee done wrong?

Replacement has to be done in a certain order.
  • Remove all batteries
  • Install batteries in outdoor unit. Allow time for unit to initialize and begin transmitting temp.
  • Install batteries in indoor unit. You should see outdoor temperature displayed.

You may find that the outdoor temperature is not transmitted in very cold weather. Right now it is below freezing and my indoor unit is showing - - for outdoor temperature.

Out do I get the outside temp back.

You have to remove all batteries, both outdoor and indoor. Install replacement batteries in the outdoor unit. Back indoors, install replacement batteries in the indoor unit and wait for temperature to be displayed. If nothing happens, the outdoor unit may have failed.

I have this model and the outdoor temp sensor isnt working, and yes both modules have brand new batteries in them. what should i do to get the outdoor temp sensor to work.

My outside display stopped working, but the inside display still worked. I found that one of the two batteries in the inside unit was almost all the way dead. Once I replaced both batteries the outside display worked. I also checked the batteries in the outside unit. After all batteries were installed, I pushed the small button that is inside the battery compartment on the outdoor unit. It's now working perfect..
