Re: removing of spywarevirus

Restart your pc in safe mode (F8 on boot up), select safe mode then run the antivirus programme again, it should find and remove it this way.

Google search redirects me to another do I fix this?

That's a classic sign of a virus and or spyware. They redirect you to a site they control and try to get you to buy their virus protection.Reboot in "safe mode" and run your virus and spyware software.Make sure it's the deep scan so it clears your Restore files too. Also check your User Accounts for a "new" administrator. The virus will log on as administrator and control your computer so you can't delete the virus files.Let me know if this helps?

Webroot antivirus will not update at all. June 20, 2009

If it is not a new bought program, then remove it.

Some useful information below. Hope it helps.

Download Spybot Search & Destroy. Restart computer, then run Spybot to see what spyware comes up, AND DELET IT.

FYI---Virus Protection-- 2 programs of virus protection will conflict with each other and will actually cancel out the protection. SO just download one.

Running Spybot Search & Destroy with EITHER Avast or Avg (great Free virus protection programs ) will keep a computer in good working condition. FREE

NEW *****Somthing new FROM MICROSOFT.*** 2009 ---Security Essentials

Pop up Blocker ** free******

*****Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.5.2 ****

**Ccleaner*** FREE…

***Malware**** FREE

$ *** KASPERSKY ***

There are alot of $ anti-virus and Internet security programs out there,

ie: Norton, McAfee, Panda, Bitdefender. If you would like to pay $ then get ***Kaspersky***-- 2010 , I feel that is the best for your money.

Good Luck.
If you think this is good information, , please rate me.

I use xp.. i download a file in internet after that ,everytime i start the computer theres always a virus(i have avira) but cant remove it..

Keep updating avira always and install spyware terminator to check is it spyware or not because avira free version only for virus but there is something like spyware, adaware, malware etc. Just try spyware terminator, update avira and if possible install Comodo firewall and block the unknown applications connecting to internet.

Try cleaning the unnecessary files using ATF cleaner (Simple and good) link below.

Norton security does not stop what it should

If you have another computer system around, remove the hard drive and plug the drive into the other system. Scan the hard drive using a virus scanner.

Some viruses are difficult to remove otherwise.

I would recommend Kaspersky as an Antivirus system and proactive scanner. It has not failed me yet. It has a 30 day trial (I think its 30 days) that you can try.

It helps the antivirus system, to have your computer free of infections (viruses, spyware, etc.) before installing any antivirus software.

-If the windows firewall was detecting trojan , It is a possible that the system is infected of virus threat eventhough the system has virus protection.
-You may want to download and run this programs "MALWAREBYTES".
-This tools will help you detect and remove unwanted virus and spyware. but if the threats somehow like rootkit it must be removed manually.

-GIVE ME FEEDBACK THEN after doing this things so I could assist you further.

Virus protection

I'm assuming you mean "AdAware". If so, the answer is: No, you don't have to but it's advisable. This is because the Kaspersky software performs pretty much the same function as AdAware (as well as its other functions). So if you had both of them running, you'd have two products doing the same thing which would impact the PC's performance to some extent. Having said that, if the PC is quick enough for you, having both of them won't do any harm.

So, you could
  • Turn off Kaspersky's adware-blocking function and keep AdAware installed
  • Just uninstall AdAware
  • Leave them both installed if it causes you no problems.
whichever you find works better for you.

You'll find folks who'll come down heavily in favour of one solution or the other but in reality, there's nothing much to choose between them.
