Depends... most 4 strokes use a single wire from coil to ground kill system. I.E. wire goes to the kill switch ( key ) then over to ground ( safety switches come into play when dealing with riders, ztr's and big mowers. hand held equipment like weed eaters can either ground at the kill switch or go back to the block for grounding.
