SOURCE: Hi I just got a

Hello
When record with this unit just adjust its Mic and Volume level to low; and adjust it from there to up until you get a clear recording with this instrument. It is a trial and error method, and have to be done to a level that you get the recording well. Start from the lowest level to high. A very high level recrding will distort all the sound spectrum. OK.

Can't hear playback through Headphone socket, only through speaker monitors!

i suggest you contact Behringer Customer Service for advixce. Without the setup in front of me, it's hard to figure out the wire routeing, switch positions, ect. that may be leading to this problem. As they would be the people most familiar with the gear, they'sd be the people to ask. http://www.music-group.com/support/behringer/askquestion

I can hear the myself in the headphones and it is recording but i cant hear the audio when i play it back.

Make sure you've adjusted the Mix knob correctly. The Mix knob is above the Output knob. Turning it counter-clockwise allows you to hear more of your input and turning it clockwise lets you hear more of your playback. Try adjusting the knob clockwise to get more of your playback feed.

Steps to record then to playback in headphones phantom power and tracks are lit we record then try to playback and get nothing. it shows there is a track there any ideas

I think you need to read the manual CAREFULLY and follow it step by step. I had problems with mine also and found it was me in too much of a hurry to get things done. This unit is easy to record with once you get the procedure figured out. I think you're just missing a step. Good luck

No playback sound on cubebase le4/alesis io2

I am not 100 % with cubase but I am pretty sure it defaults to playing via midi and that you HAVE to set up the sound devices from the options first.

Hope it is of some use

Record, playback problem

Hi Nick,

The fuzz/white noise is a little confusing and it seems to be saying that you are recording something vs trying to record incorrectly and getting nothing at all. Anyway, despite that, I would try going over your recording steps first.

First off make sure your Hi-Z input is not set to the Hi-Z or guitar setting. It is possible your that MicroKorg is overloading the input and distorting. You should however have heard that in the headphones too, so I'm not so sure that's the problem. The next thing to check is to make sure your input is assigned to the track you expect to be recording on. (Press the input's button to check this. The select/record button over the track should flash).

Next make sure your track is armed for recording before you press 'play+record' (Record button above the track should light steady when recording).

Hope this helps.

No sound in playback (but can hear click track)

This might seem simple, but just to check: you have switched off the monitor on the track when you go to playback? With track monitor engaged, you will not hear playback, but will continue to hear the live monitor.

Double click your sound icon in the lower right and corner of your system tray, or go to your control panel and sound options. What you need to do is enable the microphone playback feature. In your control panel go to Sounds and Audio Devices > click the audio tab at the top of the new window that opens > under default devices click the Volume button > this should bring up your Volume control panel. From there look at Microphone and make sure the Mute check box is unchecked. Then move the fader up to adjust sound. What this does is allows you to hear anything that the mic is picking up, through either speakers or headphones.
