SOURCE: LG flat panel plasma with red line

I had the same problem and fixed it by replacing the control board. It's a little nerve wracking, but required only simple hand tools. If you'd like to see detailed pictures of the repair check out my blog.

SOURCE: My wii connection is black and white

You are connecting it into the wrong input. The Wii comes with a RCA cables that should go into the Video (composite) input that has yellow, red, and white. The component input will not work with the RCA cable input. Plug your Wii into Video1 and you should get the right colors. There should be another HDMI on the side of your TV, there are inputs located both on the back and side of the TV for your convience.

Hook up to the Wii

Alright so first of all, you should have gotten a cord with a big, grey power brick attached to it. Plug the end in that goes in a outlet, and the other end should hook up to one of the outlets on your Wii console. Then, there should be a cord with three branches. They should be colored red, orange/yellow, and white. On the back/front or on the cable box for your TV there should be plug-ins that are colored either red, white, green, blue, or orange/yellow. The specifications should be written under the outlets (visual, audio, etc...). Plug the white and red part of the cord in to the "audio" outlet (on your tv). The other cord (yellow/orange) should plug in to the outlet that is labeled "video" or "visual" or "screen" or something along the lines of that. The next step is pretty simple. Your Wii (should have) came with a sensor bar. It is thin, long, and black and has a very long, very thin cord attached to it. Plug one side of the cord into your Wii console, and the actual sensor bar goes on top of your TV. There are small, sticky rectangles that help with the sensor bar sticking to your TV. After you've done all that, your Wii is ready to go! Just push the power button and your ready to start playing!

Connecting wii to Sony bravia tv

If you have an old V.C.R that has Red, White and Yellow sockets for AV and it still works then plug it into the RF socket tune the V.C.R to your TV and connect your Wii to the Red,White and Yellow R.C.A connections and you should be playing in no time. I have done this myself on a new Samsung TV it will work. If you have no V.C.R and you have HDMI sockets in your TV you can buy an adapter to convert the existing AV port on the Wii to HDMI then simply connect a HDMI cable (if you have 1 if not they are cheap enough off eBay starting at $6.00+AUD or around $20.00AUD Retail) to the Wii and then the TV ensuring that both the TV and the Wii are powered down prior to connecting any cables at the back. The HDMI Adapter for Wii is available on eBay from $5.00 AUD to $24.95AUD depending on the country you purchase it from. If all else fails a second TV with Red, White and Yellow RCA plugs will work but also the most expensive of the fixes. All fixes suggested will work. Good Luck I hope this helps.

How to switch tv to play games

well there should be an option on your remote labled either source or input. that allows you to change from the iputs on your tv. you need to know which input you plugged your wii into. if you select the option and match your tv input to where you plugged your wii into and you still have no pic.make sure your wii is powered on. as well make sure you plugged the cables in correctly. if your using componet cables its red green blue for video and red and white for audio. make sure the audio and video are not crossed that will cause pic distortion. and if your using composite cables makes sure its red yellow and white plugged into red yellow and white. yellow is for video and red and white are your audio. if all this is correct and still no pic. then it's either your wii or your TV.

I dont know where to plug in my red, yellow and white cords for HDMI on my 2006 viore 42 in. plasma tv

Hello, welcome to Fixya!

The yellow, red and white cord is called RCA. It different from HDMI.

The yellow stands for video (display), while the red and white stands for Audio (sound) Left and Right.

Hdmi is different from RCA (yellow, red and white). They are two different cords and connection.

Both can be connected separately at the back/side of the TV.

Please give me more information about the problem for more details.

Regards.

I just got a new 46" vizo & dont know what ports to plug my wii into? i know the cords are red white & yellow but not the ones on the tv. totally confused.

Many large HDTV's will have alternately colored slots to enable 5 connector HD cables. You can plug the Red White and Yellow cords into non-matching ports (green, black, etc) until you have color picture and stereo sound. This will not damage your TV or Wii. You can also buy cables for your Wii that will match the connectors on the back of your television, as well as give your Wii higher resolution capabilities. Which you can purchase at any electronics store.

Try to hook up playstation or Wii to the ybp ports at back of tv and can only get picture in black and white

you cannot use the ybp The wii and playstation only have one video cord (yellow) and 2 audio cords (red & white)
You can only hook up these wires to the same on tv. If you don't have this option, I suggest using a vcr or some type of converter

Connect tv to nintendo wii

Do you have cables for the wii? I would try the cables in the package to connect your wii to your tv. Your tv should have a analoge connection. In form of a scart or in form of three plugs. If you are using a scart just click it in the tv and in the wii. With the three pulgs you must connect all three plugs in your tv, they have matching collors, white in white, red in red and yellow in yellow. That would do the trick.

Cabling -- Panasonic LCD TV into LG DVD player (model no. DV6812P)

Take the basic Red, White, Yellow component cable -- plug it into the backside of the DVD player and plug the other side into the back of the t.v. Make sure to plug the right colors into the right sockets. If there are no available AV inputs on the back of the t.v, plug the other end into your cable box (if you have one).
