Question about Citizen CT-S300 Printer

Open Question

I have a CT-S300 POS printer using 3/8 ' wide paper . When I print the receipt it doesn't advance all the way to the tear off point (stopping short about 1/2 "). I have to push the feed button 2 time to get to the exact spot. I have tried turning it off then holding the feed button down then turning the printer on, waiting for the status light to blink then releasing the feed. but this doesn't work.

Printer will not advance to tear after print

I can't give the exact solution for this printer, however, I use the Epson POS thermal printer and here was our solution. In Windows 7 go to Devices and Printers. Click on Printer Properties. Then see if you see a tab that says Document Settings. Under that setting click on Paper Source. You should now see several options; I have mine set on Document(Feed, No Cut). There are other options but we prefer to tear ours off. You can chose Document(Feed, Cut) and it should advance then cut the paper for you.

Paper keeps feeding after the print of the page

First I would look carefully at the site you are printing from, some will not let you select pages to print.
somesites will have "printer friendly" that you should select otherwise you print ever page fir that website.
next see if you can view PDF before printing then select only the ones you want.
in conclusion the problem appears to be not with your printer but the web pages

Printer only printing on part of paper When I changed the tape, only the left third of the receipt printed

check your paper rollerand gear first, it is attached to the paper cover. if the roller and gear is good condition your thermal printer maybe bad or dirty. you can try cleaning the thermal head. get a piece of thermal paper fold it. rob the paper on to the thermal head. do it 2 or 3 times with a clean piece of paper. then try printing again. if if doesn't work. call (775)358-2922 look for randy and maybe we cal help. thanks

Label not advancing to tear-off perforation

Try this to have the printer auto-sense the size of the labels:
1. Make sure that printer power is off.
2. Press and hold the feed button.
3. Turn printer power on.
4. When the status light blinks, release
the feed button.
5. The printer advances the media to
measure and verify the length of
individual labels or tags. The printer
then prints a status summary and
remains in diagnostic dump mode.
6. To begin normal operation, tap the
feed button. The printer prints "out of
DUMP" and advances a label.
