SOURCE: Hard drive

For programs installations you would have to manually change, redirect or point the program folder locations to the Lenovo disk ( E:/ or F:/ , etc, etc).For all other personal documents, image files, music files, video files you would have to do the same thing, go that programs (whichever program you use) options or preferences and edit the default file save locations to point to the Lenovo ( E:/ or F:/ , etc, etc) instead of your C:/ drive

SOURCE: i have a lenovo z460...i just wanna ask why my hard disk drive indicator keeps on blinking? and yesterday, the system freezes and i can't even shut it down. what is wrong? please help.what should

This sounds like hard drive issues, remove hardware and reseat it back in place, if no change! sub out the ram one at a time testing as you go.If still nothing! the hard drive needs to be a assessed for possible replacement.

How can I install two separate hard drives on one computer, each running a different OS and transfer info between them

Partition both drives with a data partition to allow your data to be accessible outside of your system partition. In other words create 2 partitions on both drives, and name them data only or something like that. I do this with 4 drives in my tower and can see all the drives when I switch to a seperate O/S which is as you are wanting to do on 2 sepearte drives.

The question about Lenovo USB flash drive, my computer was installed the vista system, and when I insert the U disk, the computer has no response, who can gave me a drive address, please.

You said your computer brand is Lenovo or your U disk brand is Lenovo;

If the computer brand is Lenovo, go find the USB Flash Memory Drives Lenovo website;

If the U disk brand is Lenovo, then you will see your motherboard brand, then to find the USP bus driver, and it will
be OK.

I bought a new Y560A Lenovo notebook i7 500GB HDD 4GB memory While editing a big jpg file, system suddenly slow down. Check HD, C: only left with 7GB out of 500GB. I bought it to Lenovo HK maintenance...

Bad clusters are non working areas on the hard disk. When you run Chkdsk it locks out these bad clusters so data is not written on these areas and give you file errors.
Bad clusters are an indication that the hard drive is nearly worn out and the number of bad clusters will increase until the hard drive stops working.
I suggest you back up your data before the hard drive fails completely.
I recommend you replace this hard disk as soon as you can with a new one and install Windows on the the new hard drive, plus the computer's device drivers and your programs.

Summary
Lenovo Hard Drive Quick Test is a diagnostic tool that tests the hard drives in Lenovo ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, and Lenovo 3000 computers running Windows XP or Vista released after January 2004. If you are experiencing issues with your Lenovo product, you may run this test to determine if your issues are hard drive related.
Running Lenovo Hard Drive Quick Test
To run Lenovo Hard Drive Quick Test from Windows, follow these steps:
1. Download the test to your computer.

Hard Disk problem, not working in normal mode, working only safe mode. Msg in window ''REPAIR/REPLACE YOUR HARD DISK''. LENOVO Laptop Ser No - G550, Description G Series Laptop - 2958G8Q. Contact No...

It appears your hard disk may failing. Back up your data while in safe mode. Then do an in-place operating system repair if you can. But if the hard drive is failing, it will need to be replaced.

Lenovo netbook disk error

Pretty poor customer service of the repair shop if it failed so soon and they won't honor it. The new drive they installed should have been warrantied, and should be eligible for replacement.

HDD failures in laptops are common in heavy use due them being bounced around a bit. It only really takes one well timed smack to end a hard drives life. They are mechanical, and very delicate. To avoid this, have the next hard drive installed be a solid state hard drive, they are not mechanically, basically a giant flash memory (thumb drive) drive. While they can be a bit pricey per GB, see how much you really need, it will be worth the investment. The newest generation, single-level cell (SLC) solid state drives, are also much faster than standard notebook drives.

Hope that helps.
