How to get sound to tv from JVC TH-M606 without sub woofer. Also trying to put in progressive mode without remote

Hi,
  • If I understand your question correctly you want to listen your TV on your Stereo system thru your receiver,JVC TH-M606 ** you need to connect "Audio Output " RCA jacks or "Optic cable output" of your TV
** to "AUX input " or "TV" OR "Any input" of your receiver ( except Phone ) or "Optic Cable input"
** than just switch to respective mode on
JVC TH-M606 RECEIVER corresponding your RCA or Optic connection...
There you go..Your TV sound is on the
JVC TH-M606 Receiver..By this means whatever you watch on the TV (tuner, satellite , Xbox ) ,it's sound will come thru your stereo..

  • If you want to listen your receiver thru your TV, sorry but it is not a preferable attempt since TV sound system is not a HI-FI quality compare to your nice Receiver..if you really want to do it,try to do the connections given above in reverse..
  • And,best of my knowledge I am afraid you can not put in progressive mode without remote

  • Hope this helps!

On our fast lane rc wildfire monster truck, the sound and the fire do not work

The switch under the truck that turns it on can be switched two ways. If you push it one way it works without lights and noise. Switch it the other way and you get all the fire and sound. I think the silent mode must be a battery saving option.

Switching to Optical

Unfortunately, any response from RCA on this is not forthcoming as i have been waiting for some months from whichever support group is in place now....What I did do however, as I too wanted to utilize the Optical input for my Blueray player was purchase a Logitech harmony universal remote (or you can borrow one from someone) and setup a new device on the remote with similar function keys. I setup a new device RCA RTD316W which also has a "inputDigital" button. Once this was loaded on the Remote I was able to switch the SAT option on the RTDVD1.

Pioneer VSX-D608 Optical connection

The manual states that the default association of each digital input in as follows:
  • Optical 1: CD
  • Optical 2: MD
  • Optical 3: TV
  • Coax: DVD
Use the "Signal select" button to set the receiver to use a digital input, and the Dolby/DTS button (above "Signal select") to enable decoding.

As samz11 stated above, a remote is required to alter the digital input mapping.

Pioneer receiver VSX-D411

Yes techtod you are right you do have to tell the receiver what you want it to do usually on the front panel you can access set up menu and go into input set up This is an example Say you plugged the dvd into optical one or coax 1 you must go to the input that says dvd click down till you highlight dig input and then select optical 1 or coax 1 there can be as many as 8 digital inputs so just check wich one you plugged it into and then tell the amp then you should be back to watching your digital movies
