That is the usual sign that your power supply on the circuit board has blown. Did you get it wet?

SOURCE: Nintendo DS lite with no picture nor sound

Sounds to me like the screen is bad on it. The screen should at least light up and if its not then the screen is bad. Cost of replacing the screen is more then the unit. If you system is under warranty go that route otherwise get another DS.

My ds lite doesnt power up but the battery is fully charged

You could have blowed the internal fuse on the board. If you turn on and the light on the right top flashes then goes out you have blowed the fuse. Easy to repair just google it there are plenty of pictures showing its placement. I have fixed before with a new fuse available on eBay for pence or you could use a small bit of fuse wire to bridge the fuse. Hope this helps you out

Top Screen on DS only shows lines

I take it the item is a ds Phat??

Problem is the same if its a Lite just a different part.

DS Phat - you need the screen cable that runs between the bottom board and the top connsctor board.

DS Lite, the screen and cable are all in one, so you need a new top screen

Nintendo ds lite

Well one things for sure if you dont play with it the ds wouldnt just refuse to play, have u dropped it on has any water been splashed on it? If you have then thats what has caused the problem so go and get it fixed, if you havnt got any water on it or dropped it then your DS must be broken im sure you can get it fixed, if not get a new one.

Hope this helps!!!!

RE:nintendo DS lite power light comes on but both screens stay dark?solution

Wotterz.

This is a problem with the cpu on the systemboard. I've seen this problem many times if the DS Lite is felt to the ground. The contacts of the cpu are very fragile. The DS Lite turns on, green led available, even charche is working bot nothing else. Repair of this problem is almost impossible. The only thing you can do is send it to Nintendo.

You can test if it is the cpu by removing the bottom of the DS Lite and put the battery on te contacts.
Press firmly on slot 1 (the aluminium cover) and turn the DS Lite on. If you got a picture on the screens then you know it for sure. The cpu is located under slot 1 and by pressing on de top of the slot you are pressing possible loose contacts back on de systemboard.

If it is not working then the cpu is to musch damaged.

Let us know what you've found with this solution.
