Have you checked the pedal for fluff or anything that might be stuck in the pedal. Are you using it on a thick carpet? Try putting it on a board and using your hand to test it

SOURCE: Bernina Activa 135 foot pedal problem

If you can get acess to or borrow another foot pedal to try I would do this first any of the Activa, Artista range fit to try. The fault may not be in the foot pedal but in the main CB of the machine. This can give a fualt of lights on but no motor drive. In this case the board would need replacing by a technician. Hope this may help.

SOURCE: foot pedal and thread guide

Same thing happened to my CE-200. It would only stitch one stitch at a time or else it would run full speed. My husband made an adjustment through a small hole on the back of the pedal and it now works much better. The adjustment hole apparently allows you to set the sensitivity of the electronics inside the pedal. He turned it slightly toward the + direction. It took a couple of small adjustments to get it to work nearly normal again.

My foot pedal has no power

Not sure what you mean here. Do you mean that the effect is similar to not being able to press the pedal down far enough so it is only running slowly? The control system will be very simple as it only has to control the current. My first step would be to open up the pedal and see if the control is properly connected to the pedal -otherwise am making a blind guess.

Machine is sewing very very slowly no matter how hard I press the foot pedal

This happens to me when my pedal isn't connected all the way onto the machine. Disconnect it and then push it back on firmly. I have also had it happen when the Pedal was about to break. I had to go and buy a new Pedal at the repair shop and it fixed the problem.

How do I fix the speed of stitching? When I press on the foot feed I get almost no speed from it.

unless it has been progressively getting slower, I did have a simular issue. My pedal was getting "stuck" at the 1/2 mark. (wasn't pressing all the way down). Drove me nuts. Took the machine apart, cleaned oiled, cleaned again blah blah blah...when the pedal was the last option took it apart and found a nut from a screw had gotten inside the pedal and stopping it from pressed down. There could be a burr, a nick or something it is catching on.

sounds more like a foot pedal fault rather than the motor, try another foot pedal. It sounds as if yours is faulty

Bernina 1030 starts by itself and runs very slowly some time after parking the needle at the top

This is most likely a fault in the foot control. Normally supplied with this machine is a Type 10 and this can be fixed quite easily but probably not by the machine's owner unless you have some electrical and mechanical experience.

If you have knowledge of and access to a multimeter, you can test it. What working properly, you will find the following:
Pedal released: resistance is infinite (anything around 4k Ohms or less and the machine will run).
Heel pressed: resistance is about 10k Ohms.
Toe steadily pressed from nothing to all the way down: resistance is infinite then after a small depression, jumps to about 4k Ohms steadily decreasing to zero as the pedal reaches all the way down.

Your problem, being at the point where the pedal isn't pressed suggests that there's some contamination in the pedal. It's also possible that you have a type 365 pedal (as used on the 930) and this is more likely to give this kind of trouble due to the use of carbon brushes in this foot pedal.

Foot pedal dead, machine keeps sewing!

There is no suppressor in the foot control of a 425. Only the control unit, which may need to be replaced. If the machine accelerates to full speed, it may have a problem with the "stop right" board which tells the machine whether to stop with the needle up.
You could have several problems, so go see a qualified Husqvarna repairman. You may contact Husqvarna customer service to locate the best one in your area.
