Check the water level in the radiator when the engine is cold. Fill to the top and make sure the surge tank is at the proper level. If that's all good the problem comes down to a plugged heater core or the dash heat control.

The compressor on the Air Conditioning will not

First thing to check is the fuse. Next ---If the freon pressure is low the compressor clutch will chatter. If the freon is all gone or very low, the pressure switch in the system will not allow the clutch to get power, so will not turn on. Or it could be the switch in the dash board. If you pull the electrical connection at the clutch, then with separate wires and alligator clips run power direct from batter to clutch --the clutch will throw in if it is good. If so, you will know it is probably the pressure switch. If you have good pressure, then it could be the pressure switch itself has failed.

Remove back seat

If I remember correctly, you can push down on the bottom half of the seat bench while pusing back towards the back of the car, it should release the latch system so you can pull the lower seat cushion out, the back rest portion of the seat may be bolted in.
