The Hype HY-7005-WMA mouse is a very poorly supported product and the buttons on the mouse are preset to only work as set functions and cannot be changed. If the buttons on the mouse do not respond in any way, they may be broken due to poor product quality and you should seek and exchange or return from where you purchased the product from.

I'm assuming it does have a headphone socket!
If you plug the headphones in and wiggle the plug around whilst inside it might cause some life to the headphones, even if it is only for a short time. If this is the case the headphone socket (not plug) is faulty. It could still be faulty if there is no connection. The contacts can easily break in the socket leaving no connection to the headphones.
It would be very cheap to replace the headphone socket.
