Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console

1 Answer

I dropped my Nintendo ds lite down the stairs. It was turned off. It landed on tile. There was no visible damage, but when I turned it on, I found my Lego batman 1 was in there and a message flashed on the screen: Lego Batman: The video game data is corrupted and will be deleted. The other games seem to be fine working on it, I suppose since they where not the ones to be dropped. Is the cartridge going to be ok, or will I have to buy a new ds or cartridge?

I don't think you can save the game. But you can try to reset the game.

Does not charge

This is a design flaw!! Apparently if the DS Lite has been dropped, this damages the charging mechanism. This can only be repaired by Nintendo. However, even when you get the DS Lite back, there is no guarantee that the DS Lite will work for more than 2 weeks to a month, as this has been with my case. You may want to look into purchasing the DSi, as I have not found this to be a common problem with these new game systems (but, do your own research). Don't bother buying a new battery. It won't help!

My nintendo DS which I brought in April won't turn on

Maybe changing the battery will help, did your granddaughter dropped her DS? It could be have some damage due to accidental drops and the like. If a new battery does not work you might need to have it repaired.

My Son's ds lite took a tumble down the stairs and now the green light stays on but the screens are black & no sound. We have recharged with no results.

It might be broken on the inside if they don't give you a warranty to fix it will cost 75$ without the charges for shipping and handling and the regular ds lite costs 129.99 so you should probably get a new one.

Slight damage by impact

If you have a warranty send it to Nintendo to fix it.They'll might replace the screen. If there unable to fix it or don't have a warranty just buy a new one.(PS.The games he'd play on the old ds dosen't save the games on it.It saves on the DS game card.)Hope I could help.

Dropped Nintendo DS Lite on wooden floor - NOW IT WON'T TURN ON

remove the battery for a few mins and put it back in and try again?
Its a long shot but theres very little you can do with this, the insides of the DS lite are REALLY small and the only replaceable parts are the screen, buttons, etc. and you cant really fix damage to the board or chips inside which presumably is whats happened here if you get zero response.
Sorry.. :(

Nintendo DS lite - dropped

Might be worth taking it into a phone repair shop to see if they can replace the LCD screen. (yes, a phone repair shop - a lot of them do portable console screens too!) If they can't do it, it's probably unfixable realistically.

Non-working top screen

If you see lines on either screen of your Nintendo DS Lite during game play, then it is likely one or more of the components that create the image on the screen are damaged. This can occur if there has been an impact -- such as being dropped or hit -- to the Nintendo DS Lite's screens. Phone 1-800-255-3700 to discuss available repair options and they will be grateful to assist you at any time of need.Important Note: If you are seeing lines on the screen that slowly fade away after turning off the system, this is normal.
