Question about Samsung Wb1000 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I have a samsung wb100. After I transfer video to my pc via usb, the video is choppy and stutters a bit. I thought at first it was my editing program, but it turns out that my original clip is messed up from the transfer. Not sure how to avoid the choppy stuttering mess.

It sounds like your connection lead could be faulty. Or that something is interfering when you transfer the file. If the file is on an SD card, try taking out the card and put it in a SD to USB card stick.

SOURCE: Samsung s730 Digital Camera - Video Stuttering Problem

I have the same problem with 640x320 video @ 30fps. The first one was very clean, but after that the video freezes every two seconds, but the audio don't. I "fixed" this issue changing the video format from NTSC to PAL. Now the videos are smooth again, and if you want NTSC playback, just use a video converter on your PC.

SOURCE: Samsung S850 USB Control mode

My Samsung S85 is plug and play. There was not special software.
I am running a 2006 iMac with that has Preview, and later after OS upgrade iPhoto already on it. One came up when the camera was connected.
To connect - turn camera power off. Connect cable. Turn on camera. Camera displays a selection of what to connect to. A drive Icon shows up on my computer screen.

Transfer/Edit Sony HDR-TG3 1080i AVCHD Videos on Windows/Mac

Sony Handycam HDR-TG3E is a super small camera with full HD recording on Memory Stick in 2008. It includes 4GB and 10x optical zoom for capturing 1920x1080 and 1440x1080 videos. However, this camera does not include progressive recording mode, which indicates that the HD videos are 1080i. Even though it is compact camera, the audio is recorded in Dolby Digital 5.1ch. You can also take 2.3Mp stills while you are recording video footage.
Sony HDR-TG3E features:
- 1920x1080i HD video recording
- 4 megapixel still photo recording
- Dual Rec simultaneous 2.3 megapixel still photo during video recording
- Handy face detection
- Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens
- ClearVid CMOS Sensor and Exmor derived technology
Videos from Sony HDR-TG3E:
Movie Format:
- High Definition: AVCHD (1920 x 1080, 1440 x 1080) in .mts filename extension
- Standard Definition: MPEG2 in .mpg filename extension
Movie Quality:
- HD: FH (1920x1080i, 16Mbps) / HQ (9Mbps) / SP (7Mbps) / LP (5Mbps)
- SD: HQ (9Mbps) / SP (6Mbps) / LP (3Mbps)

Transfer & Edit Sony HDR-TG3 AVCHD videos:
For Windows users:
Install the Picture Motion Browser (PMB) from the bundled CD in box, and connect Sony HDR TG3 to PC via USB cable. Use Sony PMB to download HD .mts videos from camcorder to PC.
For Mac users:
You can capture and transfer Sony HDR-TG3 1080i videos to iMac/MacBook Pro via iMovie after connecting camera to computer with USB cable. However, you may face problem when trying to log and transfer AVCHD videos from Sony Handycam HDR-TG3E to Final Cut Express (FCE) 4 or Final Cut Pro (FCP) 5. After transferring HD .mts videos from camera to computer hard drive, just run Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac as the Mac Sony HDR-TG3 MTS converter to deinterlace .mts videos and convert .mts to .mov for FCE and FCP, if you want to edit HD videos.
Alternative way to transfer HDR TG3 videos for Mac and PC:
Just connect HDR TG3 pocket camera to computer via the USB cable, and the HDR TG3 will display as a hard drive on computer. Navigate to the HDR TG3 hard drive to access the memory stick.
Tips: Sony Handycam HDR-TG3E is the model for Europe, and Sony Handycam HDR-TG1 is the model for US.

WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD JVC GR-DV700EK DRIVERS?

Drivers are not usually needed. Connect the camcorder to your PC with a firewire lead (preferred) or possibly a usb lead ( some camcorders only transfer still images via usb). Fire up your video editing software to capture the video from the camcorder to the PC.

Can't get my phone connect to my PC via usb have

You have to install Samsung Studio on your pc.
If you are just going to transfer music and movies, mass storage will do.
You may also opt to get a memory card reader, insert the memory card there then transfer music and videos and other files.

I have a Samsung DV-D381 MINI Camcorder. What

OK there are NO cables as such for that PC, as of normal, to get Video into this machine you will have to use either, a USB TV/Video card, and use the AV inputs. OR put a Video TV/Video Capture card into a PCI slot, and again use the AV inputs to connect via. The you will have to use the AV leads Yellow, Red & White, OR the SVHS port if available. You will also need software to record the video stream, If you camera has FireWire then you could install a FireWire Card into a PCI slot and hook you via that, you will still have to use software though. Sometimes the camera, has proprietary software to edit and work with the Video from the camera, usually via FireWire. To get said software go to the manufacturers web site, and download a copy.

Video playback stutters is choppy when the video plays it stops and stutters on a frame. it will play for a few seconds then stutter.

I had a problem similar to this and eventually traced it to the wrong mode setting on the DVD drive's transfer mode.
To check the setting, open Device Manager and then double click on the IDE controllers item. Double click on IDE channel (if there's more than one you'll need to check each one) and then select the Advanced Settings tab. On this tab should be up to two devices and each should show under "Current Transfer Mode" soemthing including the word "DMA".
If any device shows "PIO", then this is probably the problem.
If you Google "PIO versus DMA", one of the top results has a really good article on why this happens and how to force Windows to revert to DMA.
