Hello Channaakash,
You may download the audio drive from the HP (Compaq) website. The following link should give you a driver to help.

You nee to find the maker of your sound system. This can be different for all PC's. One you have that information, you can download the drivers from their website. Your sound card in embedded in *********** board, so all you have to do is visit the motherboard's site, determine the sound card manufacturer, go to that site and download the drivers.

No audio out put device is installed

You need to install the correct audio driver for your Vista lap top. The make and model of the laptop would make it easy for us to point you directly to them via a link.

You can verify your audio device is configured or not in "Device Manager".

NO SOUND OUTPUT

Check if the correct device is set for default output

Click Start
Control Panel
Sound
Select the correct speakers and set as default (like described as Realtek High definition Audio)

if you double click them, you can also change some settings there, I recommend you disable enhancements.

Finally, with the realtek driver comes a little application that runs in your tray (usually and orange speaker) verify settings there as well

Good luck, hope this helps
