In order to replace the Spark Module on your DCS-305, do the following:

  • 1
Unplug the range from the wall outlet prior to servicing.
  • 2
Remove the burner knobs from the burner switches on the front of the range. To remove the knobs, pull them straight away from the range. If the knobs are difficult to remove, wrap a piece of wire or string behind each knob for extra leverage.

  • 3
Take off the bezel plate from each knob. Depending on the model of your range, this plate may be secured with screws, or the plate slides into place.
  • 4
Remove the two screws that secure the valve panel then pull the panel off of the range. The spark module is now accessible for inspection, repair or replacement.

    DCS CT365SS igniter wires?

no not standard. but you can replace them if you know a good place to buy high temp wires. If not buy the upper wire harness for the range and the igniter wires will be in that.

Igniter works, but the clicking doesn't stop

The electrode (spark plug) for that burner is not telling the spark module the burner is lit and go ahead and turn off the spark. That electrode and the wiring on it need to be replaced, from that burner back to the spark module. I found this place online that sells that part

My DCS range burners with electric start.

Very likely the spark module. All four are supposed to click when one is turned on, however they are supposed to stop when the burner ignites. Replace the module and test. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

Electric igniter does not stop sparking after the burner turns on. how do we troubleshoot?

On my DSC RGT-305 range it wasn't either the spark module or the wiring, it was one of the little rotary switches that sit behind the burner control knobs. It shorted out (verified with an ohm meter). The switch is made by State Tool & Mfg. Co. and the part number is 25300. Wayne

    Ignitors constantly click.

Hi, it is possible, that your spark module, need replacing, but it could be other things too. could be faulty ignitor switch, whenever you turn knob to light burner, it activate switch, remove burners, lift top off, you will see, that each knob are connected to valve with two, or some model has one wire, connected to it, check for any breaks in wiring harness, could be something simple like bruise wire touching cooker body, etc. also turn knob and light any burner, turn knob clockwise all the way, let burner light, then gently turn knob counter clockwise and listen to hear if clicking stop, if clicking continue until burner goes off, it's possible you'll need to replace spark module, sometimes, they get short circuited, takes about 30 mins to replace module, $90/ hr. oouch, big companies, does that price, includes, price of module? can you get a regular repair guy, ask a friend they might know one. good luck.

    Clicking ignitors

Take a hair dryer and dry the spark switches located on the end of each gas valve.
Sometimes when cleaning they get wet and do the clicking thing.
If that does not correct the problem you will have to replace the bad switch.
