Check the remote control first, for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name/model number/IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window. There is details about how to check a remote control. If remote control is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV.
