what keypad are you using with new opener? Frequency has changed. can't use old one. you probably never needed to change things; just needed to follow proper coding procedures.

This web address came from the Chamberlain site. I also needed to relearn my remotes due to a newer car that has a built in garage door opener that needed to be set. I also needed to reset my keypad remote, those instructions I was able to get from the same site. Good Luck

Try searching around here to find similar or hopefully exact opener. Stanley no longer is in the garage door business, and the company that bought them out went bankrupt.

My garage door will only open about 12 inches and then stops. I have stanley electric door with a craftsman 1/2 electric starter


Check the door springs. Sounds like one could be broken. You might also remove the cover to the opener and check the drive gear. It could be stripped.
