Possibly does not have bluetooth available on this model. Some Garmins have Bluetooth and some don't. If you have used it before with bluetooth, check your systems settings to see if you have turned off the bluetooth function.

(Bluetooth)
  1. To be able to edit the settings for Bluetooth, you will have to turn it on first. You can turn on Bluetooth quickly by swiping down your finger from the status bar. This will launch the Notification center. Just tap on the Bluetooth icon to turn it on. If your phone is on Android 4.2, you can launch the Quick Settings panel by swiping down the status bar with two fingers. Bluetooth can also be enabled by tapping on the slider from Settings> Bluetooth.
  2. Open Settings on your Android device and tap on Bluetooth option.
  3. Now tap on the menu key. In Samsung phones, the left soft button beside the Home works as the menu key for all apps' & feature's available options. On most other phones, it is an icon with three dots in vertical order. Anyways, from the options select "Rename Device" or "Rename Phone" and type the desired name for your device in the text box that pops up. Select OK and done!

  4. Now tap on the menu button/icon to see the "Rename Phone" or "Rename Device" option.
  5. Type in the preferred name in the text box and select OK to save it. Done!

How to switch bluetooth on

For Windows 8, move the cursor to the right side and when the side bar menu pops up, pick "settings". From there pick "Change PC settings". That menu should have a Bluetooth entry. When you click it, there will be an on-off switch.

For Windows 7, you may have to open the device manager and look for the bluetooth device. Right click on the bluetooth entry and select properties from the pop up menu. See if there is an activate switch there, or if you have a bluetooth icon in the system tray, right click on that and select settings.

Bluetooth Icon not working

I had the same problem with my nokia n80.

The solution i found is:

with the remote go to bluetooth phone. then on the remoete av menu. now you can select bluetooth as it's not grey anymore. i would advise search device with a new pin and not the standard 0000.

Good luck.

Let me know if it worked. It did for me. (eu model)
