Astak 2.4GHz Wireless Camera with Night Vision how do i hook it up to my laptop

I have Astak wireless cameras, that have a receiver, that has A/V "out" ports, that I plug into the A/V "in" ports on a small monitor. If your laptop has A/V "in" ports, you can do it. Plus you need long cables, depending on how far away your receiver is. If you had Foscam wireless security cameras, you could do it wireless to your laptop. No cable needed.

How to hookup audio to home security sys

do you have audio cameras, they don't usually give you the audio cameras with a standard setup, on the back of the dvr there is a plug for audio its either a phono plug or a mic input socket, this can be used in one room or outside depending on the mic you have to buy. you then wire this up to the cctv and have to setup the sound to the camara number.

I need a converter that will allow me to hook up the rj12 cables to the coaxial connections on a 16 channel revo dvr

hi;
you wan to hook up coaxial to rj12 ,if you you do that the wire of rj12 has not to exceed 3 meters
cause camera signal (video) to become weak. Camera Video signal has to be fed only to coaxial cable, coaxial cable has an insulation to prevent interference.
so if you want to hook up be sure put a shielded wire.
thanks......hope this help.

I have 3 outside cameras (SSC-12C) hooked up need cameras

i recommend pelco day night dome camera they are cheap and the resolution is great. they are originally bnc type connector which usually take rg59 or rg6 coax cable but if you have like cat5 or some other kind of stranded wire you can by a balum adaptor that takes stranded wire but has a bnc female end. now with your monitor they make a cheap device called a multiplexer it takes bnc connectors and to hook up to your monitor you can use regular adio video cables like for your vcr. the multiplexer also lets you scan thru your cameras one at a time or have all three up or it can scan thru by itself like every five minuets.

Security camera hook up

Hi Boybest,

Yes it's possible.

You have several options with your TV. You can use the Video-In from the auxiliary/line in or even though a VCR. The plugs in this case use what are called RCA Jacks. They travel in three's, one yellow, one red and one white. The yellow is the Video.

Any hook up is going to be dependent upon the output from your camera. Security cameras, for the most part output a video signal much the same as a VCR. Some however use RF (Radio Frequency) which requires it to be attached to a cable or antennae jack and then tuned in (usually channel 3 or 4).

If it's a straight NTSC Video signal there should be no problem. A long cord with RCA jacks to the Video-In would do it. Then you could switch the channel to AUX or Line One (which ever your model uses) to get the camera signal.

Computer cameras have a whole different way of doing things. If you run into any snags, comment me back with the make and model of your camera. I'll get you up and running.

BTW, good things come to those who rate. ;-)

Hope this helps.
Mike

Security camera hook up

There are several types of hook-up that will allow you to use your surveillance camera with your pc. If you have Windows XP or Windows 2000 you can use Belkins Video Bus II which will allow you to plug your RCA Jacks into it's RCA jacks then plug Belkins USB connection into your computer depending on your software that comes with your camera equipment will depend on the quality of sound you will get. The Belkin Video Bus II comes with a cd with the drivers required. This device ( Belkin's Video Bus II ) will not work with Windows Vista!!! There are probably several other devices that will allow you to do a hook up but, the price will vary between 40.00 for Belkin to well over 150.00 for others. Check with Circuit City / Best Buy / Compusa. etc....
