Sounds like a T'Con board fault. If you wish to get more details, check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Time slide, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name/model number/IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window. Screen-shots to defective LCDs are given in details. You can compare it with to that of yours' and can make sure about the fault.

When you turn on set a lot of vertical scramble lines

Turn off, disconnect power for a couple of hours and try it again.

If vertical lines still there google for your model number and vertical lines. If it is an LCD version set then youtube search for your model number and repair. Sometimes it takes a baseball bat!!!!

Mitsubishis TV Problem

have a Mitsubishi TV 1993. Model CS-35301. The problem is that there is a white line that is running through a blank screen. The sound is fine just no picture. Have you heard of "Vertical Collapse?" I would love to save the TV. Hi nothing to worry just minimise brightness to avoid screen burn. "Vertical Collapse?" means one bright hor.line in the middle of screen. this problem can be solved 1 check vertical yoke connector or wire loose 2 check supply to vertical section which normally comes from EHT transformer check components in vertical section or print loose regards thanks
