SOURCE: SCAN,COPY,FAX PROBLEM

Issue An 0xc18xxxxx or 0xc19xxxxx ink system error code displays on the front panel. The printer cannot copy, receive faxes, or print. Solution

  1. Press the On button to turn the printer off.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  3. Remove all the ink cartridges.
  4. Wait two minutes.
  5. Plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
  6. Press the On button to turn the printer on.
  7. Install the ink cartridges when prompted.
If the error code does not display, the issue is resolved. If the 0xc18xxxxx or 0xc19xxxxx ink system error code displays on the front panel, service the printer.     Here is a manual if you dont already have one.   http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00486336.pdf

SOURCE: Error code 6A00, alarm light flashing, no copy, print or fax function working

I tried everything. I unplugged the machine and moved the printer cartridges to the far left and cleaned and pressed down the spring loaded sponge on the right, over and over again. I also moved the springloaded thing (w/white plastic) forward and backward. Another suggestion was to move the print cartridge holder back and forth sideways. None of these things helped. And there was nothing visibly out of place. I was stumped. Then I found a thread that suggested Windex!!! Even though the error seemed to correlate with a paper jam that had occurred, I was ready to try anything. I got paper towels and windex (I didn't have an eye dropper). I sprayed the paper and cleaned where the cartridges normally sit. Nothing. In desperation I sprayed each pad below the cartridge in the middle area and I sprayed the "sponge" thingy to the right. Really soaked it. Cycled the on/off about 3 times and IT WORKS! (Fingers are black but that's a minor issue compared to unhooking and transporting and waiting and paying for service...) When you cycle the Windex through it soaks up the sticky dried up ink and cleans things up. Don't use other cleaners--use Windex or water.

I think that error code means a problem with the scanner/lamp. Any type of Exxx code means the machine needs (repair) service. This is a fairly new product and should still be in warranty, so I recommend you contact your regional Canon service agency.

SOURCE: Canon Pixma ip5200 under Windows 7 - not responding

Did you download the latest drivers from the website? It looks like they were posted this month. I would report the issue. It is quite likely there is a compatibility issue. Have you contacted canon at all about this problem? Once I have more information I can try and assist you further.
Thank you,
Lee

Canon ImageClass MF4350d *BIOS MODE* Problem Hello, when I turn on my Mf4350d printer, I get *BIOS MODE* WAIT UPDATING F/W so I tried to update the firmware.. I've downloaded firmware upgrading...

This is not an answer, but I will also suggest that any of the above answers that do anything on the PC/Mac side will not work. The MF4350d "*BIOS MODE*" and then "*BIOS MODE* WAIT UPDATING F/W" occurs when the MF4350d BIOS is corrupt or the EEPROM hardware has failed, when this happens the PC/Mac has minimal communication with the MF4350d and will not be able to update the firmware. One suggestion is to unsolder the EEPROM from the MF4350d and resolder the EEPROM, which effectively resets the EEPROM firmware. See https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CB4QtwIwAGoVChMI0szzn6mgxwIVjiuICh0GzAG6&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DwLErBRa2vxU&ei=cYvJVZLQH47XoASGmIfQCw&usg=AFQjCNFEhHOm-bD10eg_WGhWeR3o5lpYRQ&sig2=nyiChDZrr-06Dw62ptiiPg&bvm=bv.99804247,d.cGU
But I am looking for another solution. If I have to remove the EEPROM I will, but I will do a lot more research before I tear it apart and conclude that the worst I can do is throw the MF4350d printer away and get a new one.

My Canon MF4350d does not send faxes. All of the cords are connected properly. My phone that is connectedto my fax machine works fine, but I get no dial tone for my fax.

Does it dial the fax, but not send it? check which place you have the phone and line plugged into the fax machine. There are two plugs on the machine. One says line or wall, the other phone or handset. make sure the wall is plugged into the right one. that is the first thing to check, if not, reply and we can walk through setup.

Peace,
