The same thing happened to me at 00:30 CST on the 21st - all outgoing texts started timestamping a day behind. I have an AT&T phone but T-Mobile service. Would like to find an answer to this as well!
try going to menu, settings, date & time, and make sure the information is correct where it says "set date" and "set time." if either is wrong, enter the correct information. that should fix it. what happened is your phone thought you were sending a message earlier or later in time than you actually were, while whoever you're texting was sending messages on time. soooo all of your messages end up clustering at the top or bottom depending on if your phone's date & time is set early or late.
I was told to remove the battery and SIM card, wait three minutes then power up the phone again. (Time and Date have to be reset) Unfortunately this did not solve the problem so it could be a Vodafone network problem. I am wary of trying the SIM in a different brand or model of phone in case of an unexpected reformat occurring, so until a duplicate phone arrives the job is on hold. In general one just cannot get the right staff these days. Take care!
go to setting and date & time setting and change time zone setting (ex. GMT+5.30 is indian time zone setting) if you want to know your local time zone just type your country name and GMT (Ex. Indian GMT) and check it ..
On every phone there are settings that can stop you sending texts. However all phones should still receive texts even if all the settings were changed. As the text message is directed to you mobile number you should still be receiving?
When you compose your text and select contact does the phone move them to the out/sent box?
Settings to check for sending are your 'message centre number' (your network provider can supply and they are normally different for pay monthly and pay & go) 'Message sent as' should be 'text' (not fax or email etc).
Text problems are common where people change or delete digits from the message centre number by mistake.
If you cannot receive texts i would recommend speaking to your provider for help as it may be your account details at their end? (beyond your control). Hope that helps?
In your txt msgs settings, make sure the msg centre number is the one your service provider uses.
Also make sure the 'Reply via same centre number' is set to NO.
