Paper jam in number two how to clear same?

The paper paths on these types of printers work in a simalar maner not knowing where your jam is is going to be a bit difficult.
Does the paper tray lifting gear on the rear of the paper tray work correctly, remove the tray and load with paper. There should be a gear on the rear of the tray, turn it with your hand and the paper should lift. If that doesn't work, check for broken lifting gears on the tray. Alternately if the trays don't have lift gears then if lifting is done internally in which case try to look if the paper has been raised up to the feed rollers. Before you remove the tray you have to look inside and investigate.
In my experience a difficult to find piece of paper usually cause the problem.
Good luck with the problem.

Panasonic dp-1820e paper not detected

Listen to see if the lift motor is working properly...if it doesn't lift the paper then the machine will think there is no paper installed in the paper tray. The lift motor will need to be replaced if this is the issue.

Paper feed results in a clicking and no feed

This sounds as if the paper pick up assembly is not lifting the paper-up to meet the rollers. This is like a ratcheting sound when lifting. When the paper gets high enough it hits a sensor arm and the copier will indicate paper in the cassette. If it doesn't lift it will quit but will never indicate paper in cassette. Does the other paper cassette feed? I know I've had to replace the paper pick-up assembly before because of this problem and is very expensive. Good luck.

The roller for pulling paper into the printer is not grabbing paper. Can that roller be replaced?

Yes, it can be replaced. However, you may be able to clean them really well with a little Isopropyl alcohol on a soft cloth to restore their "grab." Also, you may want to be sure that the paper lift mechanism is working correctly as well. The paper lift mechanism actually lifts the edge of the paper and presses it against the rollers to help feed the paper into the paper path.

Hp laserjet 8150. i have a problem, tray 3 empty, always but have paper in tray 3

CAUSE: This error message indicates the paper present sensor flag in one of the trays does not detect paper in the tray. This could be caused by one of the following:
  • A broken sensor flag
  • The tray paper guides being set too close and restricting the paper from being pulled
  • The tray is not lifting
SOLUTION: Follow the steps below to determine the cause of a false TRAY X EMPTY message. Tray 2 empty
  1. Verify there is paper in the tray.
  2. Open the duplex unit access door just above Tray 2 on the front of the printer.
  3. Check the black-paper present flag by looking in through the duplex access door.
  4. Open and close Tray 2 and observe the tray lifting looking through the duplex unit access door.
The tray lifts but the error is still present
  1. Inspect the paper present flag on the PIU located just behind the pickup rollers. Ensure the flags are present and not damaged.
  2. Remove the tray guides from the tray and reseat them. Ensure the guides are seated correctly and are in the correct slot for the size paper in the tray. Add paper to the tray and try printing again.
  3. Try another known good tray, if available.
The tray does not lift and the error is still present
  1. Remove the tray, remove the paper in the tray, and inspect the lifting plate in the tray for damage. Ensure it will lift freely by hand.
  2. Try another known good tray if available.
Tray 3 empty
  1. Verify there is paper in the tray.
  2. Remove Tray 2.
  3. Open and close Tray 3 and verify it lifts by observing through the Tray 2 cavity.

The tray does not lift and the error is still present
  1. Remove the tray, remove the paper in the tray, and inspect the lifting plate in the tray for damage. Ensure it will lift freely by hand.
  2. Try another known good tray if available.
Tray 4 empty
  1. Verify there is paper in the tray
  2. Open Tray 4 and check for an extra **** of paper stored on the left side of the tray. This can cause the tray to stall while lifting and result in a tray empty message.
  3. Defeat the interlock in the vertical transfer unit (VTU). Open and close Tray 4 and watch the tray lift through the VTU door on the lower-right side of the printer.
NOTE: Follow troubleshooting steps for Trays 2 and 3 when working with the 2 X 500 sheet-input tray.
The tray lifts but the error is still present
  1. Check the tray guides to ensure the guides are seated corrected and are in the correct slots for the paper size in the tray.
  2. Inspect the paper present sensor for damage.
  3. Check for any broken plastic pieces in the tray that may be a broken sensor flag.
The tray does not lift and the error is still present Defeat the VTU interlock on the right side of Tray 4. Open and close Tray 4 and observe the tray lifting.

HP Officejet 6310 All in One - small paper being faxed is jammed. How do I unjam the paper?

Lift the scanner lid, then lift the black part of the fax - pull up hard for it to lift. Unjam the paper either still on top or gently lift the inner section and retrieve your jammed paper. Then put everything back together and you're right to go again.

I have a Toshiba 3560 copier. Its stating 'CASSETTE OUT OF ORDER' Any suggestions on getting this beast up and purring again?

Either there is paper trapped behind that cassette preventing lifting mechanism from lifting paper up to feed height.....or the lift drive assembly has failed. Pull the tray out until it stops, then lift front side of cassette to release/remove it. Look into opening towards right. If no paper, turn copier off then on....this should clear the 'cassette out of order' message. Now, reinstall your cassette. Make sure there is less than approx. 1/2 inch of paper in cassette, then insert cassette fully. It should attempt to raise up....if you hear popping noise during lifting process, the lift drive assembly needs repaired.

Paper tray not lifting the paper up for the initial paper feeder

most common problem on these is the rear paper stop pressing too hard against the rear of paper causing paper not to lift. make sure you have about an 1/8" gap.
