I reset my surge protector and the computer wont power up. i think i need a new power supply. the power cord is working fine. Please let me know where i can find a power supply for the aspire...

The Acer Aspire L100 is a desktop computer powered by a special DC adapter and power cable. The computer's motherboard incorporates a fuse designed to prevent any power surges from damaging the computer. If the fuse burns out due to a power surge or for any other reason, the computer will no longer function. You can check the motherboard fuse for damage yourself, then take it to a trained technician for replacement if needed

Shut down the Acer Aspire L100 and turn the tower around.

Press the "On/Off" button on the front of the tower. If the computer will not boot and the fan does not turn on, the fuse may be burned out.

Unplug the power cord from the rear of the tower

Turn the tower on its side and remove the Phillips-head screws connecting the back panel to the Aspire L100's cabinet.

Pull out the motherboard assembly gently from the back of the cabinet. The internal fuse is located on the motherboard behind the DC power jack, which is to the right of the monitor jack

Let me know if this helped..

I have a acer aspire T135 and when I turn it on to boot I get the red and green light with a loud whirring noise from the cpu anyone know what is happening and how can i fix it please

sounds like the cpu fan and that would also explane the green then red lights also open the tower access panel but first unplug the unit, wait 30 secounds or so plug the tower back in then look at the fan sitting on the motherboard or main processer see if it turns on and make sure it keeps running they tend to start then if there is a problem they eigther don't turn on at all or turn off a few secounds later Im thinking later would explane the lights

    Wont post led 3 flashes

if its the red flashing light on the tower, its the hard drive activity light.

when the monitor goes on stand by, does the tower retain power? (green light on and flashing red light sometimes?) Does your keyboard's scroll lock/num lock/caps lock keys and keyboard lights work?
