How can I repair my Beats Mixr headphone in which one of the ear is not working ?

Presumably this is a wiring problem, for one of two reasons. If you look at the RCA plug that you use to hook into your stereo, you will see two black bands on it - one band for each signal - left or right. If there isn't a good connection, often you won't get sound in both earpieces. First try inserting the plug into your equipment part way, or rotating it carefully, to see if you can get both ears working. If that doesn't work, then the problem is either the wire for whatever ear is not working, not being connected properly at the RCA plug itself, or at the ear in question. You can unscrew the plastic cover on the RCA plug to see the wiring connection. But if the connection is bad at the actual earpiece, I would suggest returning the headphones, rather than taking them apart. Good luck.

Boss oethe left side of my headphone is stop working

The most common cause for this, is a loose wire connection to that speaker (as opposed to the speaker being faulty).

Has anyone pulled the cord too tight or tripped on the cord? If yes, then the internal wire connecting that speaker has an internal break somewhere.

Try the following:

1) Plug headphones into music device and turn on.
2) Gently press the wire 'in' at the left earpiece (or wiggle at the earpiece end). If sound returns intermittently, then you have n internal wire break in that end of the cord.
3) Gently press the wire 'in' at the plug where it connects to your player (or wiggle the cord at the plug end). If sound returns, then there is an internal wire break at this end of the cord.

In the case of broken internal wires, it is possible to repair.

Although very fragile, it is possible to resolder these tiny wires (you'll have to burn off the enamel coating around these wires first) back onto their respective connections, or onto a new plug.

Good luck....

My earbuds have totally stopped working and I just got them 2 weeks ago on a Friday. Just today I was listening to music and the left ear went out, then, while trying to fix it by twirling the wires, the...

Hey there,

Headphones/earbuds are actually quite a bit more fragile then people think.
Wrapping them up tightly and bending them excessively puts stress on the metal wire inside, and will eventually wear it down thin or break.

Two weeks doesn't really seem like a very long time, so they might have been defective from the factory. I would try returning them for an exchange.

Hope this helps! If it did, go ahead and rate me :)

If you bought it new 2 months ago take it back under warranty, if not new then you need to cut off the end and repair/reconnect it further up the cable past the bad bit

Hi,,in most cases what causes one side of the headphone to work is because, the wire that is connected to speaker inside the headphone might have cut and it's not contacting properly.

What you will need to do is to open up the head phone (left),and check if the wire inside has not cut, If it has removed ,then you will need to put it back with soldering iron and a lead...

But if the wire inside has not removed and they are intact, then you will have to replace the left speaker .

Hope that helps...

Thanks for using fixya...

The fault is in the cable: you will have to dismantle the left speaker housing and start cutting from the cable until the break is removed then solder it back to the speaker - use an multimeter to check the continuity of the wires.

I bought a set of Mitone headphones two days ago and no the left ear piece no longer works. I think it is a relatively expensive set of headphones and therefore think that it would be a quality product....

Are they cordless? If not then plug into another sound source to ensure it is the headphones and not the PC playing up or simply a bad connection into the PC.

The sound comes and goes from right part of headset

The left/right problem could be a bad connection on the red/white XBOX cables. Check to see that they're plugged in properly and not loose. You can also try plugging an MP3 player into the red/white jacks to see if the problem is with the headset or the XBOX. If it works ok with your MP3 player, then the headset is working fine.

You can get a new headset controller cable on our web site. Click on Replacement Parts in the left menu for the headset model you own (X1, X3, or X4).
