SOURCE: Compressed boot manager
Windows Vista includes a new Boot Manager (BootMgr) that replaces the old NT Loader (Ntldr).
If the boot partition no longer can be found, then Vista will display the following error: BOOTMGR is missing. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart
The Windows Boot Configuration Data file is missing required information
More Info MS KB 919529
More Info MS KB 927391
This can usually be solved by checking the boot devices, and if no problems found then use Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) and perform a "Startup Repair".
If by accident having compressed the entire boot partition, then Vista will display the following error: BOOTMGR is compressed. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart
This can usually be solved by using Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) and perform a "Startup Repair". If that fails then use WinRE to enter the "Command Prompt" and execute these commands:

In this case you have to do the PC restore . you can do that in dell machines by shutting down the machine and when it is coming back on just HOLD DOWN THE CTRL ket and the START HITTING f11 key in this case you will lose the data which you have the on the c drive but this issue will get resolved .
Else you can try to restart in the safe mode with networking and then go to the system restore and then select the bold dates in which you have idea you system was working fine . selct the date and then do the system restore . In this case you will not lose the data but you will lose the updates which you have done after that date .
in both the cases system will work .

Download this Recovery Console BootCD
Burn the image (ISO) to CD.
Boot from the newly created Recovery Console BootCD
Log into the Administrator account (press 1 then press enter)
On the command prompt type: chkdsk c: /r (and then press enter) Note one space after "c:")
Once CheckDisk has finished repairing the faults, type Exit, and then Restart (remove the BootCD)

Hi, This is more than likely a problem with your hard drive, one of 2 solutions is to reload windows again by pressing F2 on start up repeatedly until you get into the bios settings, Once in then set your laptop to boot from the dvd rom then press F10 to save and exit.
Place your windows DVD in the drive and restart your laptop then simply follow the on screen instructions to re-load windows.
If however this fails to complete then i would suspect your hard drive is faulty and would need to be replaced, these range from price depending on how large you want the drive.
If this does turn out to be faulty then replace with the new one and then follow the step above.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I just bought a new computer (Lenovo G580, Model Name: 20157, PC Laptops with Windows 8) on November 23, 2012. A Windows 8 problem? I have experienced my cursor jumping around randomly while typing
Straight from the user guide, just discovered it today because I have also been having this frustrating problem. Use Fn + F6 - it is a toggle switch to enable and disable the Touchpad. I have a Lenovo wireless mouse now instead.
