Question about Brother DCP-110C All-In-One InkJet Printer

Brother DCP 115C

Hi, I have a problem with my 3 months old brother DCP 115c: red doesn't print anymore, i use original brother cartridges, i tried cleaning, power cleaning... still doesn't print red. Does anybody know how to take the print head out ? i already dismantled the printer, opened the top cover (scanner), removed the printer head cover, but i have no clue on how to take the head completely out to take a closer look... the head seems firmly attached to some kind of rail, there are 4 small tubes that bring the inks to the head + 2 other pipes that are probably used for cleaning the head... also, there is a white ribbon... I already put the printer back together and it's still working like before (no red though), so i definitely want to reopen it and take that damn head out to see what's wrong with the magenta. Any suggestions ? (apart buying a new printer)

Yes, another suggestion is to give it back to the dealer or a service partner which can be found on the homepage of brother. If the printer is 3 months old you are in guarantee time. Its a common problem with the printheads that one color (M or Y) is lost somehow sometime...! (Valveproblem within the printhead) You cant fix it yourself (May need a new printhead).

The nozzle may be blocked. So take out the colour cartridge and place its nozzle in a bit of water for about 10 mins. Bring it out and dab the nozzle with folded paper. If the tissue is blotted with the three colour it means you have unblocked the nozzle. Try now to print after returning the colour cartridge. You may need to repeat to get good results.

Magenta cartridge is empty, how can I print in

You can't.The printer need all cartridges not empty to initialized and printing.You need to replace the empty cartridges to print.

My DCP-115C printer was missing red colour.

Yellow is one of the colours used to produce a shade of red.

I don't know how but ther must be a way to print a test page to see if the print heads need cleaning I've never used a brother.

I have a brother 115c, have installed a new cartridge in cyan, now it says there is no cartridge there, is there anyway i can get it to register the new cartridge?

My Brother DCP-115C I have replaced colours Cyan and Magenta both colours still will not print. Ihave gone through the cleaning procedures still will not print these colours

Hi, my Brother DCP-115C Brother printer keeps telling me my black ink is empty despite putting brand new cartridges in, can you offer any help. Thanks.

Black electrical tape is the answer and it’s because the tape is BLACK. Even if u put black tape on an empty cartage the printer will still try to print.

The tape goes on the side of the cartage that faces the back of the printer (where the sensor must be).

Buy "compatible" or "alternative" cartridges, they are cheap and cleaner than refilling the cartridges by yourself.
