Red light on my xbox 360

4 flashing red light = av cable not connected. double check id av cable is connected properly. try using different av cable.

3 flashing red light = hardware problem . may require repair

2 flashing red light = overheating

1 flashing red light on bottom right LED with error code = hardware failure may require repair

When one light from the four lights ring itself changes from green to red, it means that a general hardware failure has occurred or is imminent. Blinking of one red light with an error message like E66, E67, E68, E71, E74 or E77 means a repairable problem while the one red light blinking without error message means some critical or irrepairable problem. if it is the top left, bottom left and bottom right lights blinking red, this means that there is a hardware failure in your xbox 360 and there is no current way to fix this. i recommend that you send it in to xbox to see if they can do anything, and if not, they will possibly send you a new xbox 360.
