The led of protection is on in my amplifier z1000d

The "PROTECT" and "PUSH POWER" messages will flash alternately when the protective device of the amplifier has been activated because a strong signal was input, or if there is a short-circuit detected. Press the POWER button on the unit to turn off the system, and check the following items after "STANDBY" disappears.

1) Are the + and - speaker cords short-circuited?
2) Are you using only the specified speakers?.
3) Is anything blocking the ventilation holes of the system?

Please check for short on the outputs fitted for both the channels. Use a meter after disconnecting to check for short in the drivers. Disconnect the positive and negative voltages to the output and see if the protect changes. Even a fault in the preamp stages that drives in high current into the output can shut the Amplifier. Sometimes this can be a noise which can be a HUM or HISS before the protect works. Faulty capacitors in these circuits also can cause similar issues and needs close observation.You need to confirm and replace the specific stages or outputs. If not there can be issues in the mother board. Maybe the protect circuit by itself is shutting off due to a faulty bias or there is a leak in any voltage/current sensing circuit. Also disconnect the speakers and test, if the amplifier comes out of the protect mode then check for short on the speakers.

Check the connection to speaker with this amp, for any short or any other fault. disconnect the outputs, ie, speakers from the amp, and switch it On, and see the protect display comes or not. If it comes, the fault is internal and the set need service.
Your M3 dual Mono integrated amp, is of high output power and its outputs are protected against any overload or short circuit. If the system detect any among this condition specified above, it will show protect mode display.
Never load this amp, as protection display is there, as it may damage the speaker or its internal power amplifier section circuits, may cause more money to get it repaired. OK.

The fault can be your output drivers- the MOSFETS/IC's fitted for both the channels, Use a meter after disconnecting to check for short in the drivers. Disconnect the positive and negative voltages to the output and see if the protect changes. Even a fault in the preamp stages that drives in high current into the output can shut the Amplifier. Sometimes this can be a noise like a HUM or HISS before the protect works. Faulty capacitors in these circuits also can cause similar issues and needs close observation.

If you still have the following voltages (0.3,44,0) and (-.1,-44,0) then the final stage is not turned on and you will only get low level sound. The driver +/or bias circuits are defective. Disconnect the center lead from each of the transistors and measure the 2 outer leads to ground,. Check the driver transistors for either an open or shorted condition and replace as necessary. Once the driver and bias circuits are working, the 2 outer leads should read +/- 0.5 and 0.

That should resolve the problem. Look for low valued resistors that are open.

REMOVE THE RCA INPUTS AND DISCONNECT THE SPEAKERS, THEN POWER THE AMPLIFIER UP WITH THIS NO INPUT, NO SPEAKER LOAD CONDITION. IF IT STILL GOES INTO PROTECTION AND YOU HAVE VERIFIED THAT THE POSITIVE AND ESPECIALLY THE GROUND CONNECTIONS, ALONG WITH THE REMOTE CONNECTIONS ARE 100%, THEN THE AMPLIFIER WILL NEED TO BE SERVICED. ANOTHER PROBLEM WHICH IS A LITTLE RARE, IS THAT SOMETIMES THE RADIOS REMOTE OUTPUT WILL SAG BELOW 11 VOLTS AND THE AMPLIFIER WILL NOT TURN ON. IF YOU CANNOT MEASURE THE REMOTE LEADS VOLTAGE, SIMPLY DISCONNECT IT AND TEMPORARILY INSTALL A JUMPER BETWEEN THE POSITIVE TERMINAL AND THE REMOTE TERMINAL OF THE AMPLIFIER AND THIS SHOULD FORCE THE AMPLIFIER ON, BUT IF IT DOES NOT, IT WILL DEFINITELY NEED SERVICE, AS YOU HAVE TOTALLY SIMULATED A BENCHED CONDITION THAT IS TOTALLY INDEPENDENT OF YOUR INSTALLATION. LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED FURTHER ASSISTANCE.....V

I discovered that there is a compatiblilty problem between the Bose receiver and the Sony amplifier. If I disconnect the receiver from the amp then the amp starts up normally. Apparently the receiver sends out a dc offset or a "thump" that the amplifier doesn't like and goes into protection mode. I solved the problem by putting a 1 second delay circuit between the receiver startup and the amplifier startup. A simple RC delay on the remote input to the amplifier solved the problem.

       It could be the transformer. The problem with protection circuit shut downs is you don't know which section is causing the trouble.  The protection system is really just a current sampler that when it detects an excessive current it opens up the power relay and shuts the power off.  And, as you indicated, unplugging for a few minutes will reset the protection detector.

But, there are about 8 or 10 sections within the tv and you don't know which section has the excessive current.   Most common causes are power supply, high voltage supply, deflection amplifiers or audio amplifier.  It usually takes a tech a few minutes to take some voltages and other checks to zero in on the culprit. Once the section is known then that tech can troubleshoot it for the bad component or shorted condition.
               Usually  it works fine until there is a signal coming in through the coaxial port. that is wen the tv gets switched off. Its a possibilty. Checking the  power supply unit of ur tv and see if it has malfunctioned and  check your power cable for starters..
